What a fantastic place! We were greeted by Karen who was extremely helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. Our room was very large, clean, with a TV & fridge, good en suite and verandah where you could enjoy morning coffee with the birds and surrounded by sub tropical plants. Great swimming pool that is lit up at night with tables where you can eat your meals. Very good restaurant offering excellent meals at reasonable prices. We had a steak and grilled barramundi and they were cooked to perfection. There was even a singing parrot there to keep you entertained! The hostel is close to the beach and the town centre. Great place which I can't recommend enough. We will be back!

This hostel located in the heart of the quite Hervey Bay is more than an Hostel. There is a very big space for tents and vans, a dormitory big and clean and a lot of nice and clean two bedroom!! There is a swimming pool, free wifi and one bistro restaurant like alternative to cook!!

Hi,
we would like to address these issues, could you let us know what date you stayed and the cabin number. If you can't remember the number, a description would be fine. Apologies for any inconvenience.

I stayed in a private room which was clean but quite small. The resort was really really quiet but when we went to bed at nighttime we could hear everything that was going on in the common room/the rooms next door...the walls were so thin! This was just quite annoying and awkward when going to sleep. It's quite a walk from the town also. They advertise themselves with having free wifi and computers, after trying to connect for 20mins we gave up. Other hostel users said not to bother trying as they haven't ever successfully connected to the wifi. Why have computers there if the wifi doesn't work?. One of the reasons we booked this hostel was because of the free wifi (so we could plan the rest of our trip) so it was really annoying when we couldn't do this. If I ever return to Hervey Bay I will definitely try out another hostel in the area.

If you are looking for aircon don't come here. Falsely advertised on their website which didn't give a good first impression. Next we were stood at reception for 5 minutes waiting for the 2!!!!!! Female staff more interested in finishing their fags. Other staff just weren't helpful and forgot about my queries minutes after they had left me to deal with other customers. Uncomfy beds and a very quiet boring place. Terrible WiFi and a shocking tv signal (unwatchable)

Ŵe originally booked to stay only 2 nights but ended up there for 3. The lady on reception (Karen I think her name was) was very friendly and helpful. We had booked a stay on Fraser Island at the kingfisher resort for 1 night and thought that would give us enough to see of the island - she convinced us to book a day trip and it's one of the best recommendations we've had. We wouldn't have got to see the island at its full potential if we hadn't!

We stayed in a double room which is one of the cleanest we have stayed in, showers / toilets were also very clean.

The bar / restaurant is very reasonable priced and you get drinks vouchers when you check in too.

Kitchen was clean, and you could always get in to make a meal when you wanted. Pool looked nice even though weather wasn't great so we didn't get a chance to use it. There is also a mini lake which has ducks and turtles which you can hand feed.

All in all a great hostel with friendly staff, would definitely recommend you stay here!

Our room was clean, and big enough for 4 people, and its a good place to stay if you wanna go to Fraser Island. I was satisfied with this accommodation till the checkout: I realized one/ two hours after the checkout that I forgot my shampoo/conditioner and my phone charger in the room. So I told the reception and I could go back and have a look. but the room was already cleaned and nothing was there. The staff said I should wait till the cleaner has finished in every room, she should bring the forgotten stuff to the reception. So I did, but they said: Sorry she couldn't find anything.. We were the last persons in that room, so they lied and stole that studid things and I had to pay 40 bucks to buy new stuff....
