We stayed here for a night in our caravan on a powered site. The facilities were very clean and staff were friendly. There is a choice of large grass or gravel sites and price was reasonable. Lovely view of the hills and listening to the animals was a nice change to other parks we had stayed at. Nice spot for a stop over.

The idea of this place was better than the reality. It was unfortunate that we experienced a hiccup because the facilities were excellent and the prices reasonable. We stayed in one of the converted shearing buildings, with the bathrooms for use outside (campers also used the facilities). My husband unfortunately found a centipede in our bed when he was bitten by the darn thing!! Hopefully others will have a better experience! Location is good, about 45 km west of Port Augusta, and the location was very peaceful and quiet.

We found it difficult to get in anywhere for Easter with caravan so we booked for four nights. View of the hills is the best part . Every person more than two including babies incurs a $7 fee. Use of barbecue $ 3.00 a long list of rules . Sites good size on gravel . Buildings shabby . Appreciate owners need to make a living but it does not feel like a welcoming place . The countryside around is similar to the Nullabor . If it wasn't Easter we would go somewhere else .

We stayed overnight here because we wanted a simple powered overnight caravan site after a long drive, and easy to get driving again the next morning. We didn't expect much but were very pleasantly surprised to find that the park had grassy drive through sites and spotless showers and toilets. Everything was clean, neat and tidy. It was a bit of fun to have the shearing shed and yards in the background.

There was some traffic noise, but less than some "fancier" parks we have stayed in and nothing to disturb sleep. And we did want ease of access to the highway.

Ok for over night, but that is all, close to main road, with trucks zooming by, in a gravel paddock with water and power $28 a night, then they want to hit you for using the BBQ and charge $3, girl on desk not very friendly, toilets and showers average. Had to laugh at sign luxurious cabins, I think not. Not a bad swimming pool, but who would want to stay there in summer anyway. If you are not into farming, nothing to do, nowhere to walk just around the camp paddock. Not for me. Go the Port Augusta.

Room Tip: Maybe interesting for backpacker, but go to Port Augusta

I really wished we had travelled the extra kilometres and stayed in port Augusta. Very disappointed with this place!! The cabin we had booked a month in advanced had no bathroom facilities (the ad failed to say other wise ) I think using the word "luxurious" is a huge over statement for this type of accommodation . Be prepared for a lot of reading in the room and in the shared bathroom. I think we counted 6 signs in our room of all the DON'TS, some very condescending. The hospitality was nil. We got better greetings at the many road houses across the Nullabour.

Spent 3 nights in our van and had the best time. Watching the sheep shearing and mustering was a sight to see. Never having stay at a working property before, this was an eye-opener. Staff and facilites all so good. Recommend to all.
