It is a rather drab older-style motel. It is in a residential area and is extremely hard to see in the dark as there is no lit up sign outside. Very easy to drive past. not really close to town centre
The room was quite small and badly in need of brightening up Don't bother with the shower. It took 7 mins for the hot water to come through and then it was barely warm. Boil the kettle and have a wash. Much hotter and most likely quicker option.
The room did have a kettle toaster and microwave so that was a bonus. And the bed was very comfortable.
The one and only light outside the units is just a single solar garden stake light so it is extremely dark and surely a safety issue. The owner is quite friendly but very opinionated which could be confronting for some. She did tell me that the fridge was powered off and I would need to plug it in and turn on. What she didn't say was that every appliance in the room was turned off and unplugged. You needed to follow leads and move the furniture to find the appropriate power point.
With the booking I had, there was an option of another night but this was never offered and quite frankly don't think I would have taken it up anyways.
Wouldn't liked to have paid full price for this motel.
If you are passing through then this would be fine. Would definitely class it as budget accommodation.

Amazing value and great old fashioned service from the wonderful host. She recommended the Gordon hotel for a meal which was also fantastic. This place is tucked away in a very quiet spot in a residential area which appealed to me and you could hear a pin drop it was so quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms sparkling clean. The cooked breakfast was delicious. I will stay here everytime I'm in Portland.

Perfectly suitable for overnight travellers. The manager is lovely and helpful, and her dogs really add character and talking points. Not very central, but only a two minute drive to cafes and shops. The motel is dated but clean.

We had no trouble locating this sweet, albeit somewhat older motel. Our room is good sized for the price, well appointed, very clean and the owner is a dear lady who would do anything for you.
The neighborhood is quiet, just a few blocks from downtown - and a great place to be to see the area. We would recommend it in a heart beat - unless you are the type who needs to "sleep under the stars", in which case you probably shouldn't be stopping in Portland.
