This was quite honestly the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in! The first room I was allocated absolutely STANK of heavy, stale cigarette smoke & the kind, if dishevelled, receptionist (the ONLY pleasant thing about this dump) gave me another room. Room?????? Well, it was a small space with bed, chair & small desk. It was far from "brightly decorated" - it was dismal, dirty, hot & noisy! I think the carpet only ever got hoovered in the middle as it was just thick with dust, dirt, hairballs & goodness knows what else! The "bathroom" was a joke & just as dirty! A larger person than me, 5'1"& slim, would struggle as it was no wider than 75cm. A teeny tiny hand basin made it impossible to spit into whilst brushing your teeth. It had a broken & very damaged mirror above. It was "designed" in "wet room" style with the shower right next to/above the basin & operated by the basin taps. This would maybe have worked if the room had been fitted out for the purpose. Because it had not, the wooden door & surround, plinth etc were very water damaged, mouldy & extremely dirty with centimetres thick of encrusted soap & hair, as was the base of the toilet.Urgghh! Absolutely repungent! The room was far from quiet & you heard every person who passed in the corridor (& bearing in mind this was an airport stop over hotel, this was contant throughout the night). The hotel is situated on a busy, main road & there were double glazed windows to block the noise. However, I was forced to sleep (!!!) with my windows open due to it being so very hot. Whilst the weather was extremely warm on my night in question & the radiator in the room was off, I could not at first figure out why my room was so stiflingly hot - even after opening the windows! After a couple of hours I found out the answer.....two thick 2" diametre pipes running floor to ceiling that were almost too hot to touch! I guess these were hot water pipes feeding rooms above & obviously could not be turned off like the radiator. Cosy in the middle of winter but when was 21degrees....!!! The bed, whilst reasonably comfortable & the linen at least clean, did not pose inviting due to the complete lack of hygene in the rest of the room. The pillows were very uncomfortable, cheap, lumpy squares. What was the bedlinen harbouring beneath???? I had to go to reception twice as my tv did not work - once she replaced the battreries & the second time the remote control. All in all I had the worst nights sleep possible & as I had an early flight the following morning I was not at all a happy bunny! I was however, just glad to get out of there! Whilst I appreciate the room rate was cheap, I feel this is absolutely no excuse for running a hotel in such a poor state of upkeep. I had been in Denmark & Sweden for the previous 5 days & had stayed at other simiarly priced hotels each night & ALL of them were excellent, clean, comfotable & breakfast was also included! I would NOT recommend booking this hotel, however conveniently situated it is to the station to get to the airport. I would have been better off saving my 66Euros & finding a quiet corner at the airport for the night!!! The Wake Up Hotel in the centre of Copenhagen was excellent......so go there instead!
