This motel is basic but it's close to the airport and relatively cheap. The staff were helpful, even dropping off (to the airport) our niece's doll which was left behind. The rooms are adequate; clean and comfortable. They also put up a portacot for our baby. I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again.

We stayed just one night here and to be honest the reasons for choosing this hotel were because it was cheap and offered free parking whilst we were away overseas.
We were surprised how good it was! The staff were very friendly and helpful, parking area was good, shuttle to the airport (complimentary) was quick and reliable and the room itself, whilst a little dated, was perfectly adequate, spotlessly clean and much bigger than others I have stayed in.
There were a couple of little things, the absence of both fridge and sofa primarily, which could have been better but overall for the money we paid this was a great choice.

booked a room for Queen bed and two singles on arrival told room was booked but they would put a rollaway in room. Not good enough as room so small when rollaway was up you could not get out the door. When we asked for a refund as we did not get we booked for they would not refund our money so we could go somewhere else. room was very old with worn dirty carpert, fridge was rusty and shower walls were chipped and broken. very disappointed.
Booking was made through wotif

I stayed at the Silver Oaks Inn when my party of seven arrived back from Rarotonga recently. We were picked up at the airport by a very pleasant, helpful woman, taken to the motel and made very welcome. We were told of a very good café where we could get breakfast next morning which was just a short walk down the road. This was great advice for a party of hungry travellers, with children.
My studio was a bit dated, but clean and tidy, with everything I could wish for. I do wish motels would provide decent pillows though! I did sleep well in the comfortable bed.
We were taken to the airport next morning by a very helpful man, who even went back to collect a bag of goodies which had inadvertently been left at reception.
The price for the unit was excellent and very cheap for the service we received. I'd happily stay here again when I am travelling.

We checked this out before we left NZ and knew it was basic, but thought -well , we only need a bed from 1am - 10am so how bad can it be. We told the staff we may not arrive until 1am and would that be a problem. We were assured it was a 24/7 office so all would be good. As it turned out our flight was delayed and we arrived at the motel VERY tired after 13 hours travelling at closer to 2.30 am to find it locked up with a sign saying 'NO VACANCY'.We rang the (broken looking) buzzer a number of times assuming someone was asleep somewhere inside. We walked around the building - we rang the motel twice only to be put through to voice mail. It was FREEZING and WINDY as anything in Auckland and we had no idea what to do. After 20 minutes we decided to leave only to meet the van coming in the driveway - saying - whoops - sorry - forgot to put the sign on the door saying back soon. Nice ! Sorry - oh yes- you've been ringing me - sorry - don't know why i didn't hear my phone.
So - we had prepaid, it would have been irresponsible to drive home so tired, so decided to stay and rest a while. It is really old and basic as, with a grotty old bathroom and paper thin walls. It had clean sheets but a really dirty duvet which we took off the bed straight away.
We stayed at The Jet Park Hotel on the way down -and would have stayed there on the way back too if it hadn't be full. They are chalk and cheese.

You get what you pay for here. It was very reasonably priced. Unit was clean but not flash.
They pick you up from the Airport and drop you back at any time.
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
There is public transport right at the door and Auckland public transport is really great.
No Restaurant but there were a couple very close by.
All in all it was a good experience though could be improved by adding a Microwave to unit.
