Unfortunately it was a cold and wet day when we pulled in here on the spur of the moment. This was once a working estate and the first in New Zealand to export frozen lamb to Britain. What a fascinating story which is narrated in a short film before you visit the displays in the buildings. I'd go back again as I think I might appreciate it more and absorb a bit more if I wasn't quite so cold and wet.
