When in Rome, dear reader, tell them of the horrors committed in their name. You see, when chefs in Rome keep you waiting it is for artistry, not incompetence. When waitresses in Rome sashay back to your table 20 minutes after your order, it is to bring more wine not to casually mention that most of the things you have ordered are not available from the kitchen. When restaurant owners in Rome find out you have been appalled with their food and service... well actually they'd probably be just as rude and unhelpful as this one. But he'd do it in an exciting Italian accent so you'd probably let him off.
Utterly diabolical from start to finish. A quiet night, there was hardly anything we ordered on the menu (some of this wasn't made clear until dishes were plonked in front of us). Food that we did get was - variously - tasteless, unfinished, sloppy and cremated. The whole affair took something like an hour and a half and ended badly when we had the audacity to complain. There really is no excuse to get Italian food this badly wrong.
