After a short ~1.5 mile hike up a path that has some very steep sections you are rewarded by a panoramic view of the bay and the surrounding mountains. Worth the effort.
This is a challenging climb with some very steep parts but there are points where you can pause, catch your breath and appreciate the views of Nelson City on the way up. The amazing view at the top is well worth the effort!
Don’t forget your hat and sunscreen.
Not to strenuous walk to a nice look out point and the centre of NZ. It does get quiet busy and it seems that tourists are becoming frequent there but worth the walk.
Go in the morning or early evening if hot - steep short walk up with stunning views. A must do walk with a well marked track and signs. Great to sit at the top and enjoy the panoramic views
Great hike with a good payoff at the top. A bit steep but doable and not a long hike. Mostly in the shade on the way up but no shade when you get there. If you bring a dog pack a water dish as they'll be thirsty. Must see view of Nelson from the top.
