I reviewed the Boat Shed in February of last year. At that time I noted the portions were small and the service disorganised. We went there again for my son's 18th birthday on a Friday night. The restaurant was about half full. It really was hard to fault.
The food was excellent and servings sufficient. With a starter, main and desert we were well satisfied. It is not that often a Bluff oyster is so big it has to be cut in half but 2 of the 6 we ordered that night were. Not exceptionally fresh but acceptable. These oysters need to be shipped in the shell and I suspect these were not.
Service was very professional and the atmosphere as good as ever. Very enjoyable. The Dog Point Pinot superb.
