Handy to beaches, restaurants and central Russell. Clean, large suite including full kitchen, living/dining area, bedroom, and patio for outdoor dining. Manager was very helpful in answering questions about the area and arranging activities. Like having our own cottage near the sea.

We love Seaport Village! We stayed there for the first time in 2008, and have been back a further 4 times. Located in the heart of Russell, it is conveniently located to the beaches, the wharf, every eatery and the bars. Baden - the Manager is the 'man'. Very hospitable and loaded with local knowledge (of beaches, walks, fishing and other tourist-things to do). The rooms are of a high standard, fitted out with modern décor and fixtures, comfortable and homely. I would recommend Seaport Village without hesitation:).

This is a beautiful place to stay in Russelll. Probably the best. Location is fabulous right on the waterfront, 1 minute walk to the famous Duke for dining & 2 minutes to town and the wharf if you are wanting to do any boat tours or just cross to Paihia. Baden is just a dream to deal with for all your bookings. Highly recommend

we didnt find a motel for the night, we found a new part of our family. Wonderful warm people and a great little room. The manager invited us to join his family and friends, we have stayed in touch post the holiday. Russel is a wonderful location that we assumed would be too touristy for our taste but were pleasantly surprised to find it more like a local village.

I book at the Seaport Village, so we have somewhere really central to stay when we meet up with our sailors competing in the Coastal Classic Yacht Race - and boy is it central! You couldn't get closer to the action :-) As for Baden, well, where do I start - he's the most friendly, welcoming and helpful Manager you could ever meet :-) I thoroughly recommend staying at the Seaport Village - Russell is a very special place for us.

Room Tip: The rooms on the Seaport Village carpark side will be quieter than the ones bordering on the Western...

We stayed for two nights in a studio apartment which although fairly basic was good value for money as we got a great deal. We had a separate bedroom which was quite cramped (only one bedside table and light) but the bed was comfortable, The living area was spacious with a small deck. The kitchen and especially the bathroom are in need of renovation. The bathroom in particular was extremely dated with only one small bar of soap for both the hand basin and shower, and shampoo but no conditioner. However there were two sunny decks for breakfast or dinner and we had no problem with noise. The position is great, close to everything with off street parking. We found some of the basic amenities were missing (no washing up liquid or sponge to wipe down the kitchen benchtop), and the lighting was very dim, but with a little more attention to detail this could be a very good place to stay. For the price we paid I was more than happy but there is room for some improvement.

Room Tip: We stayed in Studio 1 which has a separate lounge, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Our friends stayed...
