Such a great place - absolutely beautiful spot overlooking the vines and the bay. We had a group of three and went for the platter which was so filling and tasty with a selection of cheeses, smoked marlin, olives and an assortment of other delicacies. We would highly recommend and will be back for certain.

“Great view, food and wine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 January 2014 via mobile

Whoever wrote that bad review needs their head read. If it's busy then of course you'll wait esp on the busiest days of the year.
Margarite answered the phone and was most helpful and pleasant as I made the booking - good English too. Lorna served us and was very pleasant and informative, tastings were enough that we could then order some bottles.
$40 for antipasto platter good value, great wines. The highlight was Bruce the manager and his dog Molly - very friendly and gave us a great range of info on the vineyard and on growing.
I would highly recommend this place

“fantastic view - beautiful place for an antipasto platter and a glass of wine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 January 2014

What a view! The wines were nice although the tasting portions were so small it was hard to really get a taste of the various wines. The antipasto platter was lovely, especially the smoked fish and mussels. Went well with a glass of rosé. The serving staff were rather off-hand about it all. No - the smoked fish wasn't local, the owner apparently doesn't know much about making wine and there have been several managers all with different ideas about bird netting - not really what you want to hear. When I got home I realised that I had also been given the wrong wine. Still, we had a lovely hour sitting there. Worth the visit and the port is very nice.

“Terrible service - avoid!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 December 2013

Tried to get lunch and tastings - after 25 minutes of being ignored, we got poured the tiniest serving of average wine then ignored for another 15 mins before we gave up and left. Shocking service, would not recommend.

“Lovely setting lovely lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2013

We stopped by for a tasting and lunch on our way to Russell. The wine tasting consisted of 4 whites, 4 reds and a port. We liked the Deux Blanc and the port the best which we bought both of. Lunch was a lovely platter, not too expensive at $40, and worth going for. Beautiful setting. Recommend -yes
