This winery was an impulsive stop on our way up from Wellington and am so glad it was. We were looking for a coffee but ended up sampling the wine too.
Great atmosphere, friendly people, and good wine. We sat outside and tasted the wine and chatted with the winemaker and his family who run the cellar door. We found it a nice touch to sit and talk with the winemaker about the region, the wines, the food, all while slowly tasting their beautiful wines. We were also able to try some of their great food products of olive oils and jams.
We were treated like old friends who had come for a visit which just made this experience so memorable. We will be making this a regular stop on our visits to the Hawke's Bay.
