Our host Clare's Trip Advisor write up speaks the truth... this B&B is indeed a 'tastefully newly decorated apartment (completely separate and self contained) with all new furniture and fittings is located in one of Remuera's prettiest tree lined cul-de-sacs'.
We loved staying here. We had our own rental car, but could have easily survived our stay in Auckland without one. Indeed, we walked up the pretty leafy street up to the local shopping and restaurant strip (no more than 10 mins). Had lots of choice for cuisine (we decided on Japanese - Soi) and even picked up a nice wine at a local boutique bottle shop. Ten mins walk the other direction contains a 'Countdown' supermarket and associated shops.
Our family of four (including a 16 and 12 year old) were very well accommodated in this two bedroom private apartment with a brand new layout with plush, contemporary and high quality furnishings, fittings and linen.
Although the apartment didn't contain a stove top or oven; an electric fry pan, toaster, a microwave, as well as a BBQ (just outside in the courtyard), covered-off most of our short stay cooking requirements. The breakfast provisions were great (fresh fruits, cereals, breads, jams, milk and OJ). We were even invited to pick some their backyard vegetable garden produce for one of our salads! Nice touch. As was the free WiFi/Internet.
Summer is Here was a private retreat that met all of our needs.
