“Coffee....real coffee!!!!!”
Reviewed 21 July 2013

With great hesitation I ordered a double strength coffee......my experience in the NT remote travel has given me reasons to go cold turkey off the coffee while travelling, especially when I have driven from Darwin to Alice Springs. But the Border Store was a huge surprise. The coffee was awesome, well done guys!

“Great Thai food in an unexpected location!”
Reviewed 20 July 2013

The Border store is a small place on the way to Ubirr and near the East Alligator River. It is a general store which currently also sells very tasty Thai food! If you missed catching the legal size Barra, treat yourself to a tasty Thai meal instead!!!

“Great food, friendly service”
Reviewed 11 July 2013

Had a great chat with the staff. Dropped in for morning tea : excellent latte and a NT meat pie. Very relaxing atmosphere and well positioned between the rock art at Ubirr and the Bardedjilidji Sandstone walk.

“Thai in Kakadu”
Reviewed 25 June 2013

This little store on the road to Ubirr. It is on the border of Kakadu and Arnheim Land. This family run establishment makes a coffee. But the highlight is the excellent Thai meals. This place was recommended to use in by no fewer than 4 people in our travels and we were not disappointed. The meals are a great size and very well priced. They are opened from early morning and also do dinner until 8pm. The atmosphere is excellent. A great place to stop on your way to or from Ubirr

“Glad to find a store on a stinking hot day in Kakadu”
Reviewed 30 October 2012

The store is basic, but is a welcome relief on a stinking hot day in Kakadu. There is basic food including hamburgers and sandwiches and of course hot and cold drinks.
There is some Aboriginal art available for sale here that appeared to be well priced
