Owner description: The mala walk follows the north-west side of Uluru. There are many fine examples of Anangu rock art along this walk, and you can experience the sheer vertical walls and profound peacefulness of Kantju Gorge. 2 km return | 1.5 hrs | wheelchair access

The walk is well sign posted and easy to follow. You need to take plenty of water and dress appropriately as there isn't any shade.

Provided by Park Rangers at 10am in the Winter. Takes 1.5 - 2 hours, gentle all flat walking, pusher suitable. Free. You will see and learn so much.

You have covered everything! We love welcoming visitors to our free guided tour, sharing the story of the mala (rufous hare wallaby) and telling visitors more about this very special park. Thanks for letting people know how much you enjoyed this.

An impressive geological feature, but seems to miss the opportunity to maximise its tourist potential by not involving local aboriginals

“Close to history”

This is a beautiful walk allowing you to get close up to early cave sites. The walking is easy and takes you through a sacred area where you are asked not to photograph.
