Just pub food but outside of lunch specials and a couple of lower priced meals the prices are over the top. Ambience is non existent and the offer that kids eat free means that there are a lot of unruly kids. If you want very basic food okay otherwise go to a good restaurant and pay same prices for better food.

Benny is back! much needed revamp from cook Benny, always a ready smile and welcoming conversation. good selection of lunch specials and nowhere can you get a chicken PARMI for $10.. Great value topped off by great location opposite supermarket and fruit shop for that quick forgotten supply. Will be back

My husband ordered lamb cutlets on a bad of mashed potato and red wine jus. When it came it was three mediocre grilled cutlets with what looked like take away chips reheated. When asked about the mash he was presented with a bowl of what was obviously the instant packet variety.
My daughter ordered a pulled pork bun. We were told, after waiting a while, that they did not have this as nobody had ordered it before. Really! So she chose a beef burger which also came with those same chips that looked like take away. Half the ingredients were missing and looked nothing like a burger one would expect, more like a macdonalds variety. The sauce she ordered on the side did not come until requested again.
I ordered a Fishermans basket. It came on a plate with what appeared to be what would come out of the freezer and was so overdone it was brown and hard. And those same chips!
The whole meal was a disgrace. The cook kept apologising saying he was new, we ordered things no one else had ever ordered and it was his first time.
Sorry but that's not good enough when people are paying for this. I am not hard to please but this was just so bad.
The one bright note was that he offered, and I accepted, our money back.
We will never ever go there again.

We called into the tavern as we live close and throught we might discover a new lunch Venue,
It was Friday at lunch time we were the only customers, my husbane had fisherman basket, I had chicken with chips.
All I can say is it was all deep fryed in the same oil, and from the taste and the colour, the oil needs to be changed, if it was not the oil then both meal were so so over cooked. .we left with out eating our meal.
NO WE HAD NOT DISCOVERED A NEW LUNCH VENUE..will not be returning

A little tavern set behind the main highway . It's quite and a lovely place to have drink before dinner . This was a Saturday night visit for us and we were happily sitting and having a drink when a staff member bought a pizza , shocked as we were cause we didn't ordered it, when we made that very comment , reply from the girl , "it's free Saturday nights". Wow.
