We went to Batea for dinner last night. It was Christmas and Chris the owner was so nice. He speaks perfect English and is a professional chef (he studied in Switzerland and the culinary institute). He offered us a wonderful dish of grilled octopus to start. He accommodated our daughter with simple grilled chicken and penne. We had an amazing seafood soup and then a paella dish and tamarind shrimp. The key lime pie for dessert was very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We are staying at the JW Marriott and the food and service is way better than the food at our hotel.
