“A Little Bit of Peaceful Heaven”
Reviewed 1 February 2014

Superb accommodation with (if chosen) breakfast that is by far the best both in taste and presentation we have had in New Zealand. You are offered pre dinner drinks on your first night which both introduces you to the hotels other guests and makes you familiar with the owners. Quiet, peaceful and ideally located in this small historic town, this small 6 roomed hotel is both beautiful and tastefully decorated throughout, with useful washing machine and dryer in each room that have been carefully hidden so as not to ruin the decor of the room.

Room Tip: Chose a down stairs room with garden terrace (private)

This boutique hotel really lives up to it's reviews. Such a shame we only stayed a night. The room was beautiful and they have really thought about every little detail from how it's stocked up to the comfort of the bed. Would recommend to anyone!

This boutique hotel lives up to all the reviews and more. Steve and Jeannette are great hosts.
The amazing breakfast each morning looked like a picture from a food magazine and tasted even better! We would highly recommend this hotel to all.

We stayed at Arrowtown House Boutique Hotel for 4 nights just before Christmas, with my family who were visiting from the UK (6 adults and 4 young children in total).
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect location, set-up (in terms of rooms and facilities), nor hosts. As it was my family's first experience of the south island, I felt rather responsible for the overall experience but thankfully our stay at this hotel set the tone for the entire trip; it was simply perfect.
The 3 course breakfasts, complete with freshly squeezed juice, that Jeanette and Steve produce each day are gastronomic experiences not to be missed! Breakfast was the highlight of each day!
The rooms were spacious, inviting and certainly didn't feel like anonymous hotel rooms. It was definitely a home from home, somewhere we felt happy to relax during the day or in the lounge in the evening. And arrow town itself is literally a few minutes walk away.
Steves enthusiasm and energy ensured we made the most of our time in Queenstown and the surrounds, and helped organise various trips or make suggestions.
I have never written a review on trip advisor before, so it is testament to the amazing time we had at Arrowtown House Boutique hotel that I simply had to write something to share what a gem this place is!

This is a superb place to stay. I'm so pleased we stayed here rather than Queenstown. We stayed in a tranquil, spacious, very comfortable and private room with a balcony which looked out onto a nearby mountain. Gorgeous. Steve and Jeanette were friendly and attentive. Jeannette's breakfast is a must mouth watering experience. The hotel is only a short walk away to the nearby main street and local walks. Steve organised bikes for us and we had a great ride along the Gibbston Valley cycling track. Steve also gave us great tips on places to eat which never disappointed. For us the Boutique Hotel and Arrowtown was a piece of heaven in helping us immediately unwind on our holiday. Book here! You won't be disappointed.

The hotel is small and intimate and extremely well presented.

The room was gorgeous, spacious and private - it felt as though we were the only guests there!

The gardens are amazing.

The little touches were all provided and everything you may need was supplied.

The food was absolutely delicious and served in style.

Highly recommended!!

Thank you Steve and Jeanette

This place is style and gourmet all the way. Steve and Jeanette are generous hosts with good local knowledge and incredible culinary skills. The breakfasts each morning are stylish and delicious - incredible presentation of things that taste great. They also cater for fussy children.
We had drinks with Steve and Jeanette. They prepared tasty treats ( beautifully presented) and introduced us to some local wines. The hotel has a pretty garden and the rooms are large with plenty of natural light. If Arrowtown is on your itinerary then you must stay with Steve and Jeanette.

Winners "Worlds Best Award", Winners NZ Tourism Award. Voted #3 New Zealand Hotel for Romance. A memorable visit guaranteed. When you think about it, many Queenstown Hotels are quite similar. Location differentiates them. Consider then the many advantages of staying in Queenstown's historic precinct of Arrowtown - one of NZ's most charming neighbourhoods Globally, the historic precincts of cities are recognized as desirable hotel locations. Why? Well, as cities heave & grow to the horizon becoming homogeneous in the process, the historic precincts become more attractive for the character & charm they retain. Authentic, relaxing & peaceful describe the ambiance. Established following the discovery of gold 150 years ago, today you'll discover a sophisticated neighbourhood reflecting echoes of the past. If you are interested in New Zealand's history & distinctive culture, you will discover it here.....not in New Zealand's cities. New Zealand is unique in that the best luxury accommodation is not found in chain hotels. Are you looking for somewhere special for your vacation? Are you passionate about fine cuisine? This precinct promises you a mecca of unforgettable dining experiences including 'Saffron' restaurant rated in the 'Worlds Top 100' by Conde Nast Traveller & Amisfield Bistro voted 2014 New Zealand Winery Restaurant of the Year. You'll be seduced by the quiet neighbourhood charm. Discover cobblestone lanes leading you to explore galleries, fashion, brew-pubs, tapas bars, cafes, groovy bars & an art-house cinema. All only 2-min walk. Dining is so much more enjoyable when you don't have to drive. True luxury is a state of relaxation. We're sure you'll agree as you stroll home under the moonlight. Country atmosphere | City convenience. A perfect balance. At hub of 100 km Queenstown Trail - Nga Haerenga, the NZ Cycle-Hike Trail, meandering lakeside to artist's studios & vineyards.
