Spent a week here over Christmas with the family (15) - rented two of the villas facing the golf course which was ideal. It truly is an idyllic place in one of the most picturesque locations in the world. With so much to do and see around the area Millbrook was the perfect setting to enjoy it all ! Only had the breakfast which was excellent but the facilities were wonderful and despite not being golfers it was a still a perfect vacation location.
The only comment I would have is the sheets in the villas were rather 'rough'. Not sure if it is the quality or laundering method of the linens but they were not up to snuff for a 5 star resort.

Dear grtflyin,
We are glad you and your families enjoyed your Christmas break at Millbrook. The spacious two bedroom villas are great for families travelling together and for longer stays as they have lounge/dining areas and a kitchen, as well as outside space. It's great to hear that as non golfers you enjoyed your stay so much as we firmly believe that golf is only a part of what makes Millbrook such a wonderful place to stay.
With the day spa, swimming pool, gym, walking and biking trails and numerous activities within close proximity to the resort, there is so much to do at Millbrook and the surrounding area.
Thank you for your comments on the linen, which will be passed on to our Housekeeping team.
Kind regards on behalf of the owners and team at Millbrook

Where to begin!
Millbrook Resort is a sparkling example of what can be done if you have the perfect landscape (The Remarkables mountain range, rivers, rowan trees, pure clean air) come together with the most stylish designer (the very clever Virginia Fisher) and a challenging (character-building!!) golf-course created by two top NZ golfers, Sir Bob Charles, and Glen Turner. Even if you're resistant to the idea of walking, running/ jumping, falling out of the sky / off a mountain, out of a kayak, Millbrook provides the most soothing backdrop to a few days of reading on a sunny private patio, eating great food, visiting the spa, or simply sleeping in the tasteful villas. We have friends who have sold their home in Auckland and moved to Millbrook permanently, such is the ambience of the place. It is COVERED in the wow factor! In winter it's a white wonderland, a skier's paradise, and in summer the warm air is filled with the smells of a Central Otago landscape. Fantastico!

Room Tip: The villas are all great - very private and with equally good views. Huge living area, and bedroom...

Dear Travellerholic,
Your kind words epitomize exactly what makes Millbrook a place people love to visit, whether it's for an hour, a day, a weekend or like your friends, a lifetime. Many people choose to make Millbrook their home and with such stunning surroundings, who can blame them.
We are blessed to be surrounded by the wonderful Central Otago landscape and Millbrook's mature grounds perfectly complement our alpine surrounds.
There is so much to do at Millbrook as you mention, from relaxing on your balcony or courtyard, to dining, playing a round of golf or relaxing in the spa.
We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and made the most of all the activities and facilities and we hope to welcome you back to Millbrook again soon.
Kind regards on behalf of the owners and team at Millbrook.

We have just returned from another family holiday at Millbrook. We have visited during the winter and this is our second summer visit. We had a great Christmas day. Golf was great, my wife is still commenting how she enjoyed the day spa.
Staff could not be more helpful and the restaurant etc were terrific.

Have booked to return again later this year.
We stayed in a 3 bdrm cottage in the Mews Area.
Love the Place!!

We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay in one of our Fairway Homes recently. Our 3 and 4 bedroom architecturally-designed homes all have unique interiors and designs and offer fairway fronting views.
They are perfect for groups or families staying together and as you say, they really do offer everything anyone could need whilst on holiday, a real home-away-from-home.

This place is like a painting from a fairy tale or The Secret Garden. It is so gorgeous that no pictures we took can completely do it justice. I assume the property is an old farm with antique wagons and mill equipment scattered about. The mill is actually still running and there are ducks with their ducklings by the numerous ponds. The mother duck brought her ducklings right up to our door one day. This place is precious and quiet and the definition of peaceful. It is a close walk to Arrowtown and they will shuttle you for free to Arrowtown and back whenever you would like. They have free shuttles into Queenstown every two hours until around midnight which as you can imagine for New Years Eve didn't work out so well. We ended up taking the night bus back and it dropped us off at the edge of the property and we had to walk about 2 miles in the rain so if it is NYE try to stay in town, but even that did not detract from the beauty this place has to offer. Simply gorgeous and worth the stay. Glad we came here. Also this place had a great and friendly staff. Pretty much everyone we met in New Zealand was extremely nice and helpful.

Room Tip: they are all gorgeous and the best tip is leave your room because the grounds are what this place is...

Dear Lifelif,
Thank you so much for your detailed description of your stay at Millbrook over New Year's. You really do capture the essence of Millbrook and all the small things that make the resort so special, such as the ducklings and their mother, the water wheel and history of the resort.
The complimentary shuttle is well utilized by our guests as a convenient way to get to and from Queenstown and Arrowtown. We are sorry to hear about you walking back to the resort in the rain and rest assured we would have sent a driver to pick you up had you called.
Your description of Millbrook as a Secret Garden is a wonderful one which is so apt and we thank you again for your kind words.
Kind regards on behalf of the owners and team at Millbrook

This golf result is set on large well established grounds just outside arrow town.there is an excellent selection of restaurants and bars. Service is excellent with staff always happy to help. Village inn rooms are the standard hotel class rooms - ask for a golf view room to make the most of the views of the grounds. The mill house restaurant provides a 5 star dining experience. The resort is 30 minutes from Queenstown. There is a regular shuttle service, but a car can be helpful. We stay regularly and the accommodation and dining experiences are consistently excellent.
