Arrowtown is very picturesque. It still maintains a strong connection to the gold mining past, once most of the old colonial houses are still preserved and though adapted to shops still bear their old heritage (in the names).

My wife and I have found our place to retire! What a stunning village. It is such a picturesque town and contains it of history. It definitely has a European/Swiss feel about the place! Definitely worth a visit when in Queenstown!

What a beautiful little village. Lovely place to hang out whilst enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner, or maybe all three. There are a number of cafes & restaurant to choose from and the setting of the village is just lovely. Very clean & tidy. A must visit if you are in the area. Enjoy..

Arrowtown is a pretty old town but over the last few years it has moved more and more towards tourism. In doing so the more boutique shops have been pushed out and tacky tourist shops selling the usual rubbish have moved in lowering the tone of the whole town.
Such a shame but still pretty to visit at least once.

We visited Queensland in April this year and went to Arrowtown on recommendation. It’s a stunning little town with beautiful trees that turn yellow and reds in autumn. There is a small stream which flows at the foot of the hills and along that there is a beautiful walkway where you can walk all the way. must recommend going there in Autumn.
