Job worths! Go there and find out for yourself! Staff are pathetic and have no loyalties. All the whole place cares about is money. Thanks but no thanks I'll go to one of the other beautiful places in arrowtown.

After 5 years of enjoying a pre dinner drink here this year all children are banned at all times. We avoided Saffron and Pesto which turned out brilliantly as we enjoyed a way better meal down the road opposite the Museum at Postmaster. Somewhere we hadn't eaten before but amazing food from a fab Brazilian chef. As one door closes ...
We have eaten at saffron for many years and enjoyed it. We were not eating at that restaurant this night but decided to have a quick drink at one of our favourite bars in arrowtown - the blue door. We had our very well behaved and well dressed 12 and 14 year old sons with us.
We were amazed to be told that if we weren't eating at saffron that night that children were not welcome at the blue door and to kindly leave - this apparently was a new policy for the school holidays from the owner. This was 7 o clock in the evening!
We won't be going to any of this owners establishments again and will certainly spread the news. There are other good establishments in arrowtown who have a more sensible view of families - saffron, blue door and pesto pizza just want your money.
Loved spending a few hours relaxing in this place. Cool friendly service that make fantastic recommendations, chilled atmosphere and great tunes. Wish it was my local!!!
We went there on a Wednesday night after dining at Saffron next door. It's a quirky little place, cellar-like with comfy chairs and brilliant cocktails. We were there in summer and there are also tables outside. A real mix of age groups there and the highlight was a fabulous band - The Makeshifts - who kept everyone entertained to the wee hours. Highly recommended!
