“How lucky is Coolum!”

We had a fantastic and very inexpensive lunch at Ma Boulange yesterday. My Confit duck and apple salad was absolutely delicious! There are gluten free and dairy free options on the menu and the pastries looked absolutely amazing! The French owner circulated among the diners too. We will definitely be back with our bottle of wine next time since it is also BYO!

“C'est magnifique!”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

Best place to eat in Coolum, hands down. Service is good and one or both owners are always present to ensure great customer service and they are very friendly. Everything on the menu is fantastic and reasonably priced, but the pastries are OUT OF THIS WORLD. You have to come to believe me. My family eats lunch here at least once a week and the food and service are consistently good.

“A Visit to France Without the Travelling”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

This is a charming place with pleasant service. We had the Confit Duck lunch ($11.90) which was served with rice and ratatouille. It was delicious and, as a bonus, dairy free. The only possible improvement would have been a glass of wine, but sadly Ma Boulange is not licensed. We plan to try the breakfasts next.

“Excellent”
Reviewed 9 June 2014 via mobile

Beautiful food and service. We had crossiants which melted in your mouth. Cute butter shaped in hearts. French toast with yoghurt and strawberries and corn fritters with bacon and avocado salsa plus two coffees, all for $32.00. It was all delicious.

“So much to like BUT”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

It is so good to see Coolum with such a good patisserie but it also misses on a few basics - have enjoyed the pastries before but the breakfast this morning looked enticing - tried the French toast with puffed quinoa bananas and yogurt - sounded great but not like the quinoa I love at Little Lane.
Service though is just not there - no one tells you there is no table service - just waited a while before it suddenly hit me I had to go to the counter. The lady had little idea of any details of the food so I just gave up.
It's help yourself to water but you have to search before you can find it. They had the music at disco decibels for their own enjoyment but little concern for patrons who were trying to talk.
Still love the food but maybe easier to stick to takeaway pastries.
It is great value though.
