Stayed at the Endless Summer Resort for a week in October , 2 adults and 2 kids.Chose this accommodation from the resort website after much planning. All pre-arrival dealings with resort were great.
Arrived outside reception times, however had planned in advance with the hotel to have keys and information left in a key safe. Instructions were clear and easy and keys were obtained without any fuss. Resort is a three level property which had a lift from the basement carpark. This was fantastic as we were loaded with 3 suitcases and 2 kids. All other accommodation I have stayed at in Queensland (and there have been a few) had no lift, which meant we were forced to take luggage up the stairs.
Apartment was a little small, however very clean and stocked with everything we needed. Also had a balcony with a great ocean view .
The pool and spa area were great and the pool had a small waterslide for the kids which they loved. The spa was seperate from the pool and a very comfortable temperature. Adequate pool chairs and tables were available. Also had a small kiddies pool for the younger guests.
Resort was within walking distance to the beach which did have a lifeguard when we were there. Also withing walking distance to the main street of Coolum. There were a few restaurants, a small convenience store (very overpriced so avoid if possible), a chemist, a few clothing and surf stores, coffee shops, a couple of banks with ATMS and McDonalds. An IGA supermarket was about a 30 min walk from the Resort.
MWe also ate at the Coolum Life Saving Club which was only a couple of minutes walk and this was great. Good meals for kids too. Watch for the dress code as we nearly go caught out with thongs. I believe they also do a Sunday buffett breakfast.
When planning our holiday we were debating between Noosa and Coolum and I am so glad we chose Coolum. We visited Noosa twice during our stay and found it busy, crowded and overpriced. Tip for any budding surfers - my kids had a two hour lesson with Go Ride A Wave which they loved!
