“Amazing Beautiful Boutique Hotel!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014

We had an amazing trip in Tulum with our stay at Jashita! My boyfriend and I got engaged here last week and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate his surprise proposal. Brenda, the Assistant General Manager arranged to have her staff set up the beautiful Aphrodite Honeymoon Suite with roses, champagne and candles. She was so kind and our special night would not have been the same without her help.
The hotel is immaculately clean, the rooms and common areas are beautifully decorated and the staff/service is amazing.
We arrived around 10pm the first night and after traveling for 13 hours, the staff managed to whip up something for us to eat even though the kitchen was closed.
The daily breakfast was so delicious and we looked forward to the fresh juices and croissants every morning. The breakfast also includes an egg dish, which most hotels do not include in their breakfast plan. The restaurant extends out to the beach which allows for an amazing view during your meal.

On our last night, Tomas the owner arranged for us to go on a turtle watching trip. We got to witness a sea turtle come to shore to lay her eggs and even helped just hatched baby sea turtles find their way to the ocean. It was another experience that we will never forget. Tomas is incredibly nice and makes it a point to say hello everyday and get to know all his guests.

The Jashita private beach is so beautiful and peaceful! Unlike the beaches along the Tulum city center, there are no waves which allow for fun paddle boarding and swimming.

The hotel is located 20 minutes away from main Tulum area where all the restaurants and shops are so you definitely need to rent a car if you want to venture out.
If you are looking for a luxurious, relaxing trip in Tulum, STAY HERE!!! We can't wait to come back!

With only 28 rooms this hotel is very boutique in its style. If your looking for Four Season style service this isn't for you, but you'll feel like you've been invited into the owners home, in an amazing bay so remove and beautiful views over the reserve and out to sea. Great restaurant and atmosphere, and great value!

Our family of four (two kids plus me and my husband) stayed here for nine nights in July. It's really well done, the rooms are beautiful, with gorgeous bathrooms and amazing AC (latter is hugely important, especially if you have kids). The hotel manages to combine real luxury with a closeness to nature and is great for kids. The bay is beautiful, very calm, crystal clear and they give you snorkeling equipment in your room so you can explore at your leisure. Definitely go out with Eddie on the boat as there are some amazing reefs to explore. The breakfasts are spectacular and the pool is also great. It's a small hotel so there's a highly exclusive feel too. Everything v. stylish, not surprised it's owned by Italians. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to go to Tulum but stay in a more serene and exclusive setting.

It is a Paradise... no doubt but our journey did not start in the best of the way.
We went on a two weeks holiday on the Riviera Maya last March. We wanted to stay in a hotel on a good beach but far away from the crowed Cancun or Playa del Carmen. But we wanted a place close enough to areas with restaurant and bars.

We reserved the hotel a few months ahead and ask for a pick up at Cancun airport as we would normally do every time. We generally choose small boutique hotel because we like the privicy and the service. Unfortunately the service was not up to the price we paid.My boyfriend emailed them a while ahead to organize the pick up and nobody bother to answer. When we arrived at Cncum there was nobody waiting for us. Once at the hotel we wanted to clarify the situation and understand why nobody answered us and the lady at the receopption was so dismissive and rude we almost left. She insisted she never saw the email.
The owner, an italian investor was there at the time, he never even came to apologize.
The hotel is very pretty and located on a nice beach. Quite unspoiled considering that the all Riviera Maya is now invaded by americans and some area are full of hotels.
The room was spacious and clean. The bar and restaurant nice amd the food ok. Not amazing.
The luch menu with the fish quesadilla was very good but they kept running out of fish every day!
The breakfast was good but quite ripetitive. Lots of eggs.... after ten days you get sick of eating eggs.
The hotel has a pool but I wouldn't even consider it as it is small, all in the shade and not really for spending the day.
The hotel organize trip to visit Tulum and other scuba diving excursion. They have a speed boat that takes you out. It was nice but not worth the money.
The owner insists that the speed boad trip is the best way to visit Tulum Maya ruins..... absolutely not true. It is just a way to sell you the trip. The speed boat just pass by the area but from the sea you can barely see the ruins as they are high up on a cliff. The best way to visit them it is really go over and walk around. The riuns are smaller than cicheniza but absolutely amazing and the view is spectacular.
I would recomend to get friendly with a taxi driver and ask him to take you around. It works cheaper and it is a great way to go around.

The hotel is very nice but we wouldn't go back. Although the staff is very good and pleasent, the owner was very dismissive and not very nice.

We won't going back.

Room Tip: The hotel is small and all rooms are very good

Dear IrishItalian1, here I am !!
First of all if I did not apologize at that time for what happened to your “non” pick up at the airport I would like to do it now, so please forgive me. Believe me if I had known at that time for sure I woud have come to you immediately. The transfer company in charge of your pick up never received your flight information and to your second email we did not respond and this yes was our mistake. The pick up arrived 45min late at the end. The receptionist in charge at that time is no longer with us.
Breakfast and eggs, it is true, we make eggs in many different ways as Mexican tradition. But I think you should also mention the freshly baked French croissant, yogurt with granola, two different types of bred that you can combine with two homemade jam that we do with fresh fruit of the season, like the guajaba ( which is amazing), pancakes, fresh fruit plate, three fresh fruit juices. I personally find it fantastic but of course there is always space for improvements.
The boat trip to the ruins with the speedboat.
Well it’ s not a speed boat but it’s a typical Mexican “lancha” and is suitable and fitted for fishing and cruising so there’s nothing about speed. And yes I do recommend the tour to the ruins by boat with the snorkelling outside the reefs because I find it breath taking. From the ocean you get the perfect shape and profile of it although you are not allowed to go too close to the shore. One of the pyramids is only visible from the ocean. The snorkel outside the reef is a must on the way back. I always but always give our guests the two options for the ruins .
Sorry you didn’t enjoy it but I will keep promoting this tour as we are blessed to be so close to the ruins and lucky to have the possibility to see all these beauties by boat, it would be a shame not taking advantage of it.
Dear IrishItalian1, I personally find offensive calling me an Italian investor; I’ m no “investor”, but manager of the hotel, sometimes chef and often fisherman believe it or not. I put all my heart and passion into it and I strive to make each client’s vacation at Jashita an unforgettable one !!
All other guests and reviewers know how much I love and care about making them feel at home.
Once again I’m sorry you did not have a positive experience at Jashita and that we did not meet your expectations.
Wish you all the best.

Our family of 5 (including 3 teenagers) enjoyed our time at Hotel Jashita. The rooms were very nice, the beach was great and the food was very good. It is not close to much else which is great if you want to be secluded but not so good if you want to try to eat somewhere other than at the hotel (you will need a taxi or car). The restaurant service was usually fine but a few times, the waiters seemed to be very confused. Our orders weren't taken or taken twice. We were guessing there may have been some new waiters being trained. The beach is beautiful but someone in our group did get a nasty gash on the bottom of his foot from the coral in the water right near the beach so be sure to wear water shoes or be especially careful. The front desk only had a limited first aid kit and we probably should have went to the hospital but we didn't. Overall, we had a great time.

Beautiful bay, gorgeous room, lovely helpful staff. We were on our honeymoon, and enjoyed everything about this hotel, although we didn't realise they were kid-friendly until we arrived. Most guests with children were fantastic but you never know when you're gunna have to share a boutique i.e. small resort/pool etc. with an obnoxiously loud (the mum was the WORST) family, who behave as though the entire resort is their private villa (why they didn't just book one of these is beyond me). Fortunately, we were pretty active so didn't spend much time at the resort itself during the day, but rather used it as a lovely base to come home to each evening (the staff were great at organising our tours/activities). It's about a 15min drive north of central Tulum, but easy to get cabs to and from. We liked the food, but there is loads better fare in and around Tulum if you can be bothered exploring, including the BEST ceviche you will ever eat at a little hidden gem of a restaurant just down the beach from the resort (literally plastic chairs and tables amongst the palms on the beach). No idea what it's called though, sorry!

A dream place made to relax and thankfully far enough from Cancun's craziness but not too far of a drive from the airport.

I would call it Rustic-Chic. It feels exclusive and it's a very romantic place to stay.
I had the best sleep of my life at Jashita.
The Service was beyond amazing, every staff member was helpful, friendly and courteous, couldn't ask for better.
The Breakfast was amazing with plenty of fresh fruit, juice, coffee, pastries, etc.

DO rent a car if you stay there, it is pretty far from Tulum downtown and a car will be helpful.
