“Really lovely cottage”
Reviewed 18 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

The Old Post Office is right in the heart of Axmouth which is a lovely friendly village just outside Seaton. It has everything you need to make you feel at home, including underfloor heating and a lovely south facing fully enclosed garden. The owner has thought of everything you may possibly need on your week away and was particularly flexible when we had to change our dates. We hesitated to recommend this cottage in case it gets so popular that we can't book a return visit!

“Great Christmas holidays in a warm and welcoming cottage.”
Reviewed 2 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

We rented the cottage for our Christmas holidays. The five of us (plus dog) were very comfortable, plenty of room for everyone and a very well appointed kitchen with everything needed to prepare our Christmas dinner. The cottage is very well renovated and nicely furnished and decorated. It is actually bigger than it looks on the pictures.
It's a great location too, in a quiet street, but very near two lively pubs, and just a few minutes from the shops and beach front in Seaton.
We often spend holidays in the area and we will certainly rent this cottage again.

A warm thanks to our French guests.
So glad that you enjoyed Christmas at the cottage. Axmouth and the surrounding area is certainly perfect for a winter break as much as in the summer.
we hope that you can come again.
Happy New year from Richard and Julie.

“Lovely cottage in a great location”
Reviewed 1 December 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Beautiful comfy cottage, furnished to a very high modern standard. Very spacious, much bigger than we imagined, downstairs loo very handy. Very clean throughout. Lovely modern bathroom upstairs and a really good shower. Kitchen really well stocked with everything you need. Under floor heating was a real luxury. Free wifi is always a must these days, had no problem logging on. Garden was plenty big enough and a real suntrap.
Fantastic pubs nearby to eat and drink and were very welcoming to our dogs.
Really well positioned and a great base to visit lovely areas of South Devon.
Looking forward to our next visit!

Liked best: Open plan sitting room, dining room and kitchen was great while on holiday.
Liked least: We had to come home early because we had a premature granson born (he was worth it but will have to return!)

“Beautiful Cottage”
Reviewed 26 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The cottage is amazing with everything you could possible want, very comfortable, beautifully clean and finished to a high spec throughout. There were just the two of us but it would be perfect for a family too as it is very spacious, the garden was a lovely sunny spot in the evenings. I would highly recommend this cottage, good amenities, lovely walks and the harbour is a great place to sit and just relax.

Thank you Lynne. I must admit, we love it when it is just the two of us there, as it is peace and tranquillity!
However it's great for a group or family as well as there is so much to do and see..
Hope you can come and stay again.

This was a really wonderful cottage everything we would wish for and more. We had freinds who lived nearby and it was a perfect hub. The local pub THE SHIP was a really good watering hole. We hope to return again next year. FABULOUS!!!

“Enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful stay”
Reviewed 31 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

My partner and two young children ( aged 2 and 5) spent a very enjoyable and restful week at the old post office. The accommodation itself was perfect for us and very spacious. There are two nice pubs within a couple of minutes walk and a Tesco 10 mins drive. Hope to visit again soon.

“Lovely cottage, perfect for West Devon holiday.”
Reviewed 23 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Lovely spacious accommodation with everything you need to make your holiday. We stayed here as a family of 7 plus our two small dogs. The cottage has been renovated and is modern in its layout and facilities, but retains the charm of a cottage. It was spotlessly clean and had wifi and TV for the members of the family who couldn't live without it. The south facing rear garden is perfect if the sun is required and on two levels..great for an evening outside with the BBQ. The village pubs are within easy walking distance and 'supplies' can be easily obtained in Seaton which is only a 5 min drive away. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. Could not fault this place one bit....Fabulous!

Thank you Jon. So glad you had a superb holiday and enjoyed both the cottage and the area.
You were obviously so relaxed that you forgot you were in East Devon, not West :-) Doesn't matter as all Devon is gorgeous!
Hope you can stay again sometime soon- the autumn/winter is also fabulous and sitting on the beach in October is not unknown!
