We booked on a busy August evening as there we were 7 adults and 3 kids. We had the end room with large oblong table which was perfect. Lovely decor, helpful and friendly staff, good menu and beautiful food presentation. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we would happily return if in the area again.

Visited here today to have a celebratory wedding anniversary lunch. Didn't think that we'd need to book as it was a Monday lunchtime. Arrived and it was packed and we were told there would be a wait of about 40 minutes. So, ordered drinks and a basket of yummy breads with oil and balsamic dressing to tide us over whilst we waited. It was well worth the wait (which was about half an hour in the end) as the triple cooked chips were fantastic along with the accompanying scampi and homemade tartare sauce. My husband had gammon ham, two fried eggs and the aforementioned chips. The staff were very polite, extremely well organised and friendly. This was our second visit and we will return.

Located just upstream from Axmouth Harbour could be a great place to spend an evening but the food was a bit unadventurous. Whitebait starter was good but pulled pork burger was over- sauced and a bit 'stodgy'.
Overall OK but could be so much better.

Stopped for late lunch on a Saturday afternoon and had a good meal of pull pork in a bun with chips. Good sized portion well cooked and presented on a plater. Overall staff reluctantly helpful and whilst not outragious cost reasonable value for money in tourist trap

Large pub nicely presented. Service was incredibly slow considering there were lots of staff and relatively few customers on a weekday lunchtime. drinks, especially soft drinks were excessively over-priced (£3.10 for a large coke). Food was nicely presented but rather dull - avoid the fishcakes and fish pie.
