“Divine by name.....”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

How to describe a wooden shack just off a busy road through Cherhill - well, wooden shack does it well so there we go. The Divine Cafe has had more lives than my neighbour's cat but hopefully this one is here to stay. This is not a fine dining restaurant but is a darned, decent fuel stop and more. Cakes, snacks, salads, eggs done in many ways - the menu choice is plentiful. Everything appears to be cooked or baked on the premises and is all the better for that. The food is good and fresh as a result, portions on the generous side of average and - despite other reviews - good value for money (head east to Marlborough if you need proof). An omelette and some scrambled eggs solicited satisfying nods of the head. The drinks menu is as generous as the food choice so this is probably a good spot for families. Some outdoor seating adds necessary space to a small interior but good service makes up for any discomfort. Lest we forget - this is cafe but a thoroughly good one at that.

“NOT YET DIVINE BUT CERTAINLY POSTULANT”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

Caught up with a niece and her husband that we hadn't seen for 12 years over a leisurely Sunday breakfast. Everything very competent without being outstanding. Service very friendly and no signs of wanting us out as we took quite a while at a busy time.

Considering what you might pay for an inclusive full breakfast, possibly heading towards pricey.

“Nice but pricey...”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

Originally a petrol station, more recently a hang-out for the crop circle believers, the Divine Cafe is a far more satisfying incarnation.
Great on a sunny day for outside eating, divine produces high quality cafe food and a decent range of drinks.
Only two drawbacks. Firstly I often leave thinking that it was a pricey place for a pit- stop and thus frequent it far less than I would otherwise. Secondly the somewhat limited menu again means that it would not be a regular destination.
Perhaps one off passing trade is more what they are after. Shame as it do oes a good job.

“An unexpected discovery”
Reviewed 4 September 2013 via mobile

Happened upon this cafe on the A4 east of Calne. It must have been a garage or filling station before. Now it's a bit of French flair in the heart of Wiltshire. Keep up the good work and we'll call again.
