“Absolutely gorgeous B&B”
Reviewed 17 July 2012 for a stay in July 2012

You really couldn't wish for a lovelier place to stay or a kinder, more thoughtful owner. My friends and I took over the whole place (3 rooms) and everything was perfect: beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts and a great location within easy driving distance to (amongst other places) Stonehenge, Avebury and Marlborough. It's all down to Nicola and her family's fabulous hospitality, who make you feel like you are staying in a home from home. I really can't recommend it highly enough and I will definitely be back!

“Cherhill's 5* luxury B&B hideaway.”
Reviewed 8 May 2012 for a stay in May 2012

We stayed for one night at the Old Joinery a few days ago and it was a delightful stay. Nicola accomodated an early check in and when we arrived we found the Old Joinery in a peaceful and rural location, set back from the main house. The Joinery has a lounge and 3 gorgeous spacious bedrooms with own modern bathrooms. We had a peep and saw that all the rooms were decorated very tastefully, large comfy beds, LCD tv, coffee/tea facilities, good storage and complimentary slippers! The rooms and bathrooms were so clean they looked new. We stayed in the Ash room and it was perfect for us. (30 something couple) There is a great pub across the road (The Black Horse) where we enjoyed a generous sized meal. After a good nights sleep, Nicola cooked breakfast to order. There was lots of choice, cooked breakfast, croissants, toast, cereals, homemade preserves. Nicola was a great host, attentive but not overwhelming and we were also looked after well by the housekeeper Rochelle. I would recommend the Old Joinery to anyone, it will suit families, Walkers, Couples or Singles. We have paid double the price for hotels in the past which do not come close to the same level of quality or comfort. A true 5* stay.

“Delightful B&B”
Reviewed 14 October 2011 for a stay in September 2011

We spent a night here recently, when attending a wedding nearby. We were very impressed by the friendly and professional hospitality of the owners. The room was attractive and the bed extremely comfortable. The bed linen, pillows and towels were certainly of a superior quality. The White Company toiletries were lovely too. There was good hanging space in the wardrobe, a decent hairdryer and a welcome selection of tea and coffee, including peppermint etc. We had a peaceful night's sleep and didn't even realise there were two other couples staying in the rooms above us.
The breakfast, served in the conservatory across the courtyard, was really delicious and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this delightful B&B as a place to stay in Wiltshire.

“Great experience”
Reviewed 6 October 2011 for a stay in September 2011

We decided to stay a bit away from the big city and tourist buzz and got it at the Old Joinery. Hostess Nicole did everything possible to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. The rooms are ample and well appointed and the baths are modern and lack no amenity. Breakfast is served to order in the nice conservatory and she makes the best espresso coffee this side of Italy. Would surely come back and absolutely recommend.

“What a Great Place to Stay”
Reviewed 5 October 2011 for a stay in September 2011

We stayed here (a family group of 6 of us) at the end of Sept 2011. On arrival we were welcomed with a cup of tea and home-made cake. The owners (Nicola and her husband) could not have been nicer or more helpful. The bedrooms and bathrooms were simply lovely - spotlessly clean and well equipped. Our hosts even arranged for an early breakfast - so we would be on time for a 9.00am wedding on the Saturday morning. What a fabulous place to stay - I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

“Great stay”

Easy to find at the side of the A4 (although the Old Joinery is set back slightly from the main road), the Black Horse pub is literally opposite, but the entrance is a little hidden, so slow down in good time.

My husband and I chose to stay here for his 60th birthday weekend, and had a fabulous time. The view of the white horse, monument and hills from the breakfast room is beautiful. We were lucky with the weather, and found lots to do nearby. We had a great morning at Devizes Caen Hill locks on the Avon and Kennet canal, saw Silbury Hill, the West Kennet Long Barrow, Avebury, Marlborough etc etc, and my husband had two hours of fantastic microlighting at GS Aviation just south of Marlborough. Although there is a small microlight centre in Yatesbury, a mile from the B&B, I think we made the right choice as there were several different fixed wing microlights to choose from as well as the flexiwing. He certainly had a day to remember.

Nicola and Paul were great hosts, and we thoroughly enjoyed the tea and cake when we arrived, beautiful breakfasts and recommendations for local restaurants for meals. They also gave us phone numbers for taxis. They couldn't have been more helpful.

On my husband's birthday, Nicola brought out glasses of bucks fizz at breakfast which really set the tone for the whole day, and in fact the whole weekend. It couldn't have gone better!

My only (very slight) gripe, would be that the Oak room we stayed in with the king size bed had sloping ceilings which meant there wasn't a lot of head room around the bed, and in the bathroom headroom was restricted at the basin and for men at the toilet.. This didn't spoil our enjoyment however, and the overall fixtures and fittings were of a very high standard. All immaculate (the property hasn't been open a year yet) and everything you might want was at hand.

A fabulous few days that we'll remember for a long time!

“A Wonderful Place to Stay!”
Reviewed 26 July 2011 for a stay in July 2011

The welcome was very friendly on arrival and I felt nothing was too much trouble. Once inside, the standard of my room was excellent with all of the furnishings and finish being of very high quality. There was a great pub across the road and I had a great evening meal and a good chat with the Landlord - Bob.
Breakfast the next morning was excellent also. I will definitely be back.
