Perfect hotel spacious room with kitchenet across the street from the beach very clean colonial style hotel nice pool aand friendly staff, walking distance from great restaurants aand plenty to do. Very romantic if wiith someone special. Beach is beautiful but the strret local traffic takes away from the beauty of the place but walking down 200 yds is perfect. Everything here is reasonable, store 1 mins away so you can buy food, liquor for room, fridge and full kitchen equipped.

We stayed at the Albachiara Hotel from Dec.1/13 to Mar 30th/14,in a ground floor studio suite. We found this to be a well managed hotel, across from the beach and convenient to stores and restaurants. The friendly hardworking staff made our stay a pleasure. From Luis at the front desk making sure "every thing O.K." to Pierre with his friendly "Good Morning",looking after our luggage, replacing our water jugs,,,,etc.and of course Anna who looked after our room with a special touch and a smile, and helping us with our attempts at Spanish.

We feel the photos on the web site are accurate and up to date.

The property and the grounds are well taken care of.The hotel has a stand by generator in case its needed.

Even though we found the WiFi connections most frustrating and there were definitely mosquitoes on our ground floor terrace,we would stay here again in the future.

I had 8 people in my group. Rental process was easy via email. We rented one, three-bedroom unit and one, single-bedroom unit. Both units were fine for our needs and quite spacious. The 3-beds are on the top floor and are two levels with stairs. Each bed has it's own bath which is great. Units are comfortable and stocked with kitchen and dining ware. Air conditioning in the bedrooms only. Each unit has a private balcony/patio which is very nice. Plenty of comfortable seating throughout and plenty of closet space. Free wi-fi. Everything is within walking distance.

The property is privately owned; the owners live in one of the units. It's very clean and well-kept. The pool is nice and is separated into three different sections by depth. The staff are friendly and aim to please. The included breakfast buffet is very nice and has everything you'll want including made-to-order eggs, omelettes and pancakes.

We arrived after a very long, frustrating day and the unit we had reserved wasn't ready even though it was nearly 7 p.m. It was a "prime" unit, located centered at the bottom of the u-shaped property so it had the best view of the pool and ocean, and I wanted it. The host wanted to put us in the unit next door and I'm afraid I lost my cool. I misinterpreted his not wanting to put us in an unprepared room for abstinence and I blew up at him a bit. It was after hours but he found someone to clean the room while we settled in and they got the job done to my complete satisfaction. Later, I realized he just didn't want us to wait and was doing his best to accommodate us, and I apologized. The point is, he went above-and-beyond for us.

Room Tip: Depends how many people you're with and the level of privacy you want from them. The facility is...

We stayed at the Albachiara Hotel in November and I really am confused by the reviews that people are giving this hotel. It in no way compares to the Sublime or the Alisei. I didn't write a review because I always felt if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all, but I really don't get it! The breakfast was limited, seating cramped, staff not very friendly. Rooms were ok, shower was hit and miss and key to safe took 3 days to arrive. Beach across the road is awful unless you enjoy sitting in fumes from all the cars and motorcycles going by. The worst thing is after spending a week at this hotel on check out day the owners and staff are super friendly bending over backwards being nice and pushing trip advisor forms at you that they will fill out for you. Albachiara Hotel is not #1 it really shouldn't be in the top 5.

We stayed march 5th. to march 9th. from check in to check out everything went like a charm. We were upgraded to a honeymoon suite thanks to ronny the reservation manager. ,the suite was huge with a jacuzzi which we used several times. Luis working at the reception was a great help also. The large pool was clean, quite and relaxing just what the doctor ordered. The free breakfast in the morning was a treat, excellent with great service. The beach in front of the hotel was beautiful and you can walk all day if you want. The weather was perfect and the shopping and restaurants were whinin walking distance and were priced fairly. All in all a great stay and we will be back. Gracias

We have previously stayed at the Oasis once and the the Alisei twice. Each time something was missing. After staying at Albachiara Hotel we knew we would continue to come back. They have everything you need It's like coming home! Rooms are clean and well presented. Grounds are small but well groomed and The White Bunny Rabbit lives there and it's fun to look for him. We love Las Terrenas and Enjoy our stay here So much we are going back next weekend! You can walk the beach (which is located across the street) or walk around town visiting shops, art and lots of cafes/restaurants. The pizza next door is delicious at Coco Pizza. We wanted to have a barbecue on the beach and they set it up for us. It was wonderful!!! Enjoy your stay!
