FANTASTIC!! Clean? You could have performed open heart surgery in our room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Bed was great for an amorous couple. We can't wait to return to our favourite part of the lakes and definitely the best hotel.

Recent long weekend there. The lakes were beautiful -misty, mellow and fantastic autumn colours, but a cold wind! Stayed at WhiteheavenPremier Inn to visit friends and were most pleased with the Premier Inn there It's fairly accessible to the lakes etc. Delightful staff, most helpful and friendly A modern pleasant comfortable room. No lift though and we have mobility issues, but staff re-positioned us to the honeymooners room on the ground floor. very accessible and comfy. Bathroom was a bit cold though with insufficient heating for cold weather. We appreciate the clean comfortable consistent standards of Premier Inns and especially use their bargain prices when available although you sometimes find they can be rather older out of the way hotels where you get these. This one is modern and bright and a real bargain - two nights for two of us for £77. Can't be bad

We have recently returned from another stay at the Premier Inn, Whitehaven. Room as usual spotlessly clean, extra duvet was available on request which was a great offer as weather very cold.

Hot Breakfast is now served buffet style and restaurant opened longer hours which means better service and was a great idea.

The attached restaurant is now a Brewers Fayre - we were very disappointed with this as until 2 weeks ago it was a Table Table and the food choice was great. We ate dinner here for 2 nights but the menu choice was not huge and the food served was tasteless and not upto standard. Cakes in display cabinet may look tempting but were very dry and the portions ordered varied widely between our party. Icecream served with puds was a half scoop!

Clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast was good, although costa coffee machine was broken during our stay. Would agree with other reviews the food served at night at the brewers fayre was fairly basic/standard but did a job! Only downside was very noisy stamping around from the room above, don't know if this is due to quality of the building or just heavy footed guests above! Still a good stay.

We stayed a couple of nights here when touring the North West; as usual it's predictable Premier Inn - fast checkin, good parking, comfortable rooms.

At the front of the hotel is a pub - and that's it for about 3 miles in any direction, so you are in a quiet setting but will have to chance Whitehaven or one of the other towns by car to get anything.
