“Lovely stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 March 2014

Lovely resort, right opposite safe swimming beach. Beach was closed and very windy when we were there, but the resorts 3 pools were a welcome retreat and you wouldn't know the weather was so rough outside. Stayed in a penthouse suite (3134) which had an excellent balcony with comfy couch and table and chairs. King size bed was firm and very comfy, flat screen TV in bedroom & lounge, ensuite bathroom clean and a good size. Lounge and fully equipped kitchen and laundry with washer and dryer, great layout and spacious unit. Staff were very friendly, check in and checkout was excellent. We had breakfast included which wasn't one of the best buffet breakfasts I have had, but they had an expresso machine where you could make your own lattes, etc, which was a nice touch. Usual stuff of bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms which were delicious, tomatoes, beans, hash, pancake, fresh fruits, continental stuffs.
Free car parking underneath, unfortunately didn't get to try the spa-next time!
Walking distance to everything, would highly recommend! look forward to returning another time!

Room Tip: Higher rooms offer great views over pool areas, but no lifts, so you have to walk, which can be a dr...

Perfectly located. Very helpful and friendly staff who have an air of competence and are courteous and knowledgable. Rooms are spacious - perhaps slightly dated but impressively clean and well maintained. Our room had a bath on the balcony, which was a lovely touch. The Eco rate has ok housekeeping but was surprisingly still very good as the room was so well fitted out and clean to begin with. The breakfast was acceptable - same every day, moderate range of items, but still very fun to sit and read the paper in a nice environment. The Thai and Italian restaurants were outstanding and we had to resist just eating there repetitively throughout our stay. The pools were beautifully maintained and there was efficient pool side service. There is a gym but we didn't visit it - long walks on the beach were our exercise! Overall, easy, convenient and nothing lacking. Would highly recommend. The only downside was the day spa - they never answer the phone, never call back when you leave a message on the clip board and when you wait it out to book in person, they don't have appointments despite their large sandwich board advertising otherwise. The front desk were helpful in booking a treatment at the adjacent m gallery hotel which was brilliant.

This is a great place for a weekend away. Palm Cove is easy access from Cairns Airport and the Hotel is in a great spot within Palm Cove. Palm Cove is a quiet seaside town but has a number of restaurant gems which can be uncovered during your stay.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pools, restaurants and bars were excellent. The only very minor blemish was the pool bar being closed during our stay but staff were taking drink orders by the pool to compensate.

The rooms are very clean and well maintained. We stayed in an Ocean Spa room which looked out over Palm Cove and provided a nice quiet environment each evening. The room had a great shower with nice water pressure which can be a bit of a rare find in hotels these days.

We found the hotel to be great value for money and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Peppers for a quick week end away and got a very good last minute deal. The rooms are lovely and the staff was excellent, even though it was the quiet season, we still had plenty of great service. This resort is great for a family holiday with the lovely beach pool. We've stayed at a couple of Peppers Resorts and I would highly recommend any of them. Also the position in Palm Cove is perfect, right in the middle of everything and across from the beach.

The Peppers Beach Club and Spa offered good meeting facilities, in beautifully landscaped gardens with a large beach type pool. The bedrooms are spacious, quiet and very tastefully decorated. The staff are friendly and efficient. I highly recommend the hotel

Pool options at palm cove peppers are a big draw card. All three pools were lovely. Minor issues - pool bar was never open during our stay - staff claimed it was due to weather (we moved to cairns for 3 nights post of stay with very similar weather and pool bar here is open!) yet I think it was cause it is off season and the hotel was not busy at all - shame really. Other minor pool point was the "quite" pool area had lovely sun loungers - however clearly staff don't remove the covers on these if it rains and hence the next day all the lounge chairs were soaked - minor but not 5 star treatment. I would highly recommend this hotel to families with kids - we would go again once we have kids, but I would go again as a couple.

Dear Sarahp0104,

Thank you for your feedback we appreciate it!

Our three pools are amazing and offer families and couples great choice!
The sun lounge covers have been removed during the wet season - due to the onset of sudden tropical downours we simply do not have the manpower to remove and replace as mother nature plays her games!

Best,

We stayed at Peppers mid February, we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We stayed in a lagoon spa room which was clean and well equipped with anything you needed. The 3 pools were just awesome and we spent most afternoons at them. Unfortunately the swim up bar was closed due to inclement weather but drinks and food were only a phone call away. The buffet breakfast were sumptuous with a huge selection to choose from. I would recommend Peppers to anyone it was fabulous, the staff were friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and comfortable it was a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday.
