These apartments are ok! Nothing fancy and in need of an upgrade. Little things like new outdoor table for the balcony (the timber is rotten), new shower heads (or clean the current ones with CLR). The photos on the website are obviously of one that has been refurbished as ours was looking rather tired. But for $130/nt it does the job!

We stayed in the 3 bedroom and it was a hike to get to. I had trouble parking my dual cab Navara and couldn't close the garage door. The villas itself were roomy and lovely to stay in. Walking distance to shops and bus stop. Two pools kept my kids happy.

Room Tip: All the villas are up a steep hill

We travelled up to Airlie Beach by car from Brisbane..3 adults and 2 teens..The apartments were a great size and very comfortable and homely..but because we had a very low car , our bumper fell off every time we left or tried to get up the driveway. It is very very steep and the corner angle of it and the camber of the drive actually made it so as we came out of the carport our rubber off our wheel was shredded off like cheese.Because I had been in touch prior ,, by email advising the ownere we were bringing up a clubsport and a person with a replacement hip, we were abit disappointed we werent advised of this. But we were moved to a lower down villa .Overall a great stay, a few things broken or didnt work but nothing that cant be fixed....Ideal for families...

Room Tip: This is ideal for groups..very spacious..Just situated on very steep hill with lots of stairs in the...

We've stayed at Paul & Jennifer Heatley's Reefside Villas three times while visiting family and exploring this beautiful part of Queensland. They have spacious 2 and 3 bedroom villas with all the facilities you need to make it a "home from home." Many have wonderful views across to the Whitsunday Islands and it's a good base for a holiday if you enjoy watersports, snorkelling and good food. There is a shopping centre close by with food outlets and restaurants to meet all your needs. Try delicious local grilled Barramundi or Coral Trout! This is Tropical Rainforest country so check the weather conditions for the time of year you wish to visit. It is very green and hilly, including Reefside, so a hire car is highly recommended. Reefside has small pools, one with a barbecue and there are nearby good public barbecue facilities at Cannonvale Beach and Abel Point Marina. To arrive here fly into Proserpine (Whitsunday Islands) airport or, for something different, Hamilton Island airport and connecting ferry to the mainland.
Thanks Paul, we'll see you again!

Room Tip: If you have any special needs contact Paul and he will do his best to accommodate you.

The apartments are set on a steep hill, which was hard going, especially for my mother-in-law who has bad legs, but it would keep you fit and you had a fantastic view from your balcony!
The apartments were fully fitted out with dishwasher, washing machine and drier, which was a great bonus, especially with a family. The only downside was, whoever was in the apartment before us must have had prawns in the fridge, which was stinking when we went to use it, but I saw the management and they gave us some vanilla spray which helped.
It would have been nice if the apartment had its own BBQ, as the communal BBQ was by the second pool, which was a bit far from our apartment really.
The boys loved the pool, it was small, but kept very nicely.
There are several levels in the apartments, so several stairs to climb, but its set on a hillside, so have to expect that really.
The apartments are very spacious and could be fantastic, there were some small maintenance issues that could easily be fixed ie: lights/lamps that dont work, door handles loose, fans with only one speed working, just little things.
All these things are just little niggles really, the place is in a great spot, close to the small shopping centre, close to the marina and not far from Airlie Beach and also nice and quiet, which is a big plus for us!
I would definately stay here again, it was the ideal spot for us.

Room Tip: The apartment we had was number 26, which wasn't far from reception, so not too far up the steep...

As others have noted, these apartments are set into the side of a hill, but this wasn't a problem for us, and meant that we had great views out over the ocean from our balcony. We shared a 3bedroom apartment (2 queen rooms and one twin) that was extremely well set up, with a washing machine, dishwasher and a large kitchen and living area. As well as the main bathroom, one room had an ensuite and there was a 3rd toilet. The apartment was very clean, well kept and nicely furnished even though they aren't brand new. The rate for 6 people worked out at $63 a couple, which was a bargain in my book. Yes, it's a little way out of town, but walkable distance to restaurants and shopping centre. Two car parks, although they were a bit tricky to get in and out of if you have a big car.
