Fabulous location between the beach and marina. Very quiet with breathtaking views. We booked a sea view and it had a nice balcony to sit and take it all in. Large room and very well looked after. Outstanding staff, lovely garden and nice large pool. Good breakfast buffet. Just a few minutes walk towards the marina we found a wonderful restaurant named Sorrento with fantastic food and views with outdoor balcony.

Room Tip: High floor for best view

Despite arriving before check in time, our room was ready, and the first thing we checked out was the view from the balcony - just beautiful. Despite poor weather at times, the balcony spa was used every night - a great place to have a drink before tea and watch the sun go down.
The hotel was about 10 mins walk from the main street and plenty of food choices. However, if you were happy to stay at the hotel, the pool was great with what has to be one of the best views in the world.
If you get the chance, visit the lagoon pool in town. A very popular spot with travellers and locals alike, and its free!

We spent our first two nights in the whitsundays here and had a great time. The hotel is situated in a perfect location, right on the sea with gorgeous views. We booked a garden room with a wotif deal, the initial room we got was quite small with no balcony, we asked reception if we could move and they kindly gave us a room with a balcony which was very spacious. (Ask for a room with double queen beds as these are larger.) although the view wasnt great it was nice to have the outside area. The rooms were clean with plenty of space and a nice clean bathroom.
We had a continental breakfast at the hotel which was fresh, with hot croissants and muffins and beautiful fruits. The staff were generally quite friendly and the restaurant staff made cocktails etc. there is also a jetty at the hotel that offers various watersports with great staff.
Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful located hotel.

We arrived in Airlie Beach with no accommodation pre-booked. Having already picked out this hotel out of numerous leaflets etc we decided to go in on spec to see if they had any rooms. Very friendly staff on reception. We were quoted a price for a garden view room with breakfast. We asked to see the room and the receptionist kindly led the way. The room was beautiful, ok all you get to see is palm trees and a green painted wall but we were not going to be in the room all day to warrant paying extra for a sea view. The rooms were very large and modern and extremely clean. You actually got a full sized fridge in the room! Attention to detail was apparent, even down to the candle, candle holder and matches supplied! Fresh cartons of milk every day and a wide choice of tea bags!

The breakfast was lovely, with choice to suit all. The croissants and muffins were warm which was a nice touch and the milk was kept cool in ice buckets.

A nice treat was on the 3rd floor just outside the lift. There is an outdoor seating area overlooking the sea and pool, as we were in a garden room we regularly sat there drinking our wine. It was beautiful, despite the torrential rain we had throughout our stay. The cleaning staff did a great job of making sure all the corridors etc were clean.

The pool was massive and clean.

The location is fantastic - its only 5 min walk to Airlie Beach and a 5 min walk to Abel Point, where the boat trips depart from.

Tip - there is an Italian restaurant called Sorrento just on the walkway to Abel Point. They have free wi fi (you have to pay for it in the hotel) and from 3-5 every day its 2 for 1 pizza. They are the best pizzas I've ever had!

We will definitely return to this hotel when we return to the area!

Room Tip: Garden views look out on to a painted wall but the gardens are lovely and it doesn't matter. How...

A most scenic and beautiful place to stay the pool area and garden look straight out onto coral sea and islands you just want to stay there looking all day long. Rooms are a good size bed was good room serviced daily good staff and polite. The only problem we had was a old scraggy crow on our balcony all day we left window open to bath room he tok our soap but did not like its taste so he left half chewed on our balcony .overall we will return one day as it is a quiet and and a very scenic place to stay and relax

We enjoyed our night here. We had a spacious room with stunning views over the pool, gardens and out to sea. The food in the restaurant was excellent and service very good. The location was excellent-away from the hustle and bustle of the town but not too far to walk. A little expensive for we Brits, but that's Australia for you!

Room Tip: It has to be a room with a sea view.

For the most part, the Coral Sea Resort was a perfect stay while in Airlie Beach. Very centrally located with amazing views on all sides. Just a few minutes walk to the Lagoon and to the marina. The hotel definitely catered to my needs and the staff were good. One small complaint, wifi ridiculously expensive and not available in the rooms
