“Wonderful views from our room”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

We stayed here 10 years ago for our silver wedding anniversary and it was wonderful we had never been to such a lovely hotel before and still have not since. The views from our balcony were wonderful ,looking out over the islands and we could see the sea planes coming between the hills going out to the barrier reef. We also did this trip and it was fantastic !!!! The food was great though pricier than eating in airlie beach but it was really good and well worth it.there is nothing bad at all to be said about this hotel and we hope to return in the near future.

It was the most relaxing and beautiful resort I have stayed at. Staff was very attentive and went out of their way to accomodate us. WE had booked for a garden room but once we seen the view the staff was able to chang e to a ocean view. Restaurant was good. Pool was big and scenery was outstanding.

Room Tip: Ocean view is the way to go.

We stayed here before and after a three night sailing cruise through the Whitsundays. The location was excellent, within walking distance from where we had to check in for our sailing trip and where we boarded the catamaran. They held the luggage we didn't need for the sail until we got back. The staff were all very attentive to our needs and the restaurant was really nice. Upper scale. The evening dress code was "smart casual".

We took pot luck in booking this resort for three days before going on a Whitsunday cruise. There was a mix up in our booking which meant that we had to move rooms the second day. However both rooms were spacious and had ocean views and we were offered an upgrade to a full breakfast and also a complimentary bottle of wine as an apology. We returned to the hotel unexpectedly a few days later as we had problems with our cruise and the staff welcomed us back with open arms. We were given a lovely two bedroomed apartment with huge balcony at a very reasonable price. All the staff have been extremely friendly and caring. I would not hesitate to return here.

The Coral Sea Resort is a stylish, very comfortable hotel in a great location. It is situated on a headland with sea on both sides, a lovely restaurant and bar and its own jetty. The pool is big, spotlessly clean and the surrounding area is good for having drinks or meals outside and also for sunbathing with a great view over the bay to some islands. There is two hours' free wifi in the restaurant area. Spacious rooms, lovely balconies and good value for money. There is a boardwalk which goes into the town, takes about 5-10 mins, the boardwalk also goes in the other direction to Cannonvale beach, great for an early morning walk. Also near the marinas.

Room Tip: So far stayed in two rooms, the first night it was a junior suite with a large balcony facing east w...

Just came back from 4 days at Airlie Beach.
The hotel has an awesome view. It is probably one of the best views and location in Airlie Beach.
Only a short walk to Airlie Beach along the boardwalk and also a short along the other way to Able Point Marina.

The hotel it self is not as "shmick" as some newer properties. The view makes up for the age of the property. The room is fresh and has obviously been refurbished not so long ago. We stayed in a Baview spa suite which doesn't have a spa on the balcony like the Coral Sea Spa suite , but you can still have a spa and see the water from the open plan bathroom. I would probably rather the Coral sea spa suites as the balcony spas looked like fun especially when it rains.

The breakfast is a tropical breakfast which is sort of a continental style. A little more variety for those staying longer than a few days would be a good idea as the breakfast gets a little tiring everyday. Perhaps a few French pastries or boiled eggs or smoked salmon for a change.

There was a wedding on our last night. I wasn't too bad and didn't interrupt our stay too much.

I would stay here again for sure.

I am at the moment on my 2 bedroom apartment and I can not be more disappointed. This apartment is a shoebox with only one small bathroom, what upset the
Must as we are 5 people and a baby, this situation makes impossible to get ready fast as you need to do a conga line to take a shower or to pee. Not without mention that there is no space for a baby-tub so you will have to shower him or use the sink. We do have a window with an ocean view but for the rest we have just walls. But it is very small view because of the trees.
This building doesn't have a lift which is very hard to go in and out with the baby pram.
This is a very basic accommodation I will not come back here because there is no value for your money. You will be better off looking for apartments or rooms in boathraven, blue horizon or even peppers. In the past we stayed at blue horizon the difference in the price was not to big but the difference in the apartments is gigantic.
I also walk in yesterday in one the double rooms and it is also small and just with a 3 star look.
The restaurant is ok, nothing too special but it is a nice setting and the decoration makes it very Cousy.

Thank you for your response. We have 15 different apartments most of them do have two bathrooms and sensational views. see the website for views from one of our 4 bedroom penthouse apartments. Gardenview apartments are smaller and less expensive.
