After all my travelling, I have to say that this resort boasts the most friendly and efficient staff so far! Room was perfectly clean and comfy, and the view was breathtaking!
I can honestly say that this resort was the best accomodation in comparison to all other hotels in Airlie Beach!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Watersedge. It was a relaxing end to our holiday. Service was impeccable and the rooms were alot bigger than we'd expected. The French Cuisine Restaurant down stairs make amazing cocktails and you'll find out why it's the best restaurant in Airlie.. When you're sitting on the balcony of your room watching the sunset over the Whitsunday Island you'll know exactly what Im talking about!!

we initially stayed at a different hotel in airlie beach but due to the poor quality of that hotel we decided to check out the moment we arrived at moved to the waters edge apartments. On arrival the staff were very accommodating and were happy to show us a room before we checked in. The apartments are huge and have the most stunning view of the ocean. They are located very close to town and unlike our previous hotel you dont have to be a mountain goat to climb the hills. There is an excellent restaurant at the hotel and we had dinner there both nights. We will definately be back and will stay again. Great apartments in an excellent location.

Me and my partner stayed in the Water's Edge resort for a week and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We did a lot of research prior to booking and the other reviews on trip advisor were a big factor for us choosing here. The rooms are very spacious with some wonderful views, the kitchen is nice and large with all you need and the location is spot on!

Airlie can get noisy in the evenings due to the bars and clubs but your just about far enough away to miss 90% of the noise yet a small walk down the hill and your on the main strip. The steep hill can be a little painful when you have done a long day walking but luckily this is at the bottom of the hill so it's not to bad - other hotels at the top may require better levels of fitness :)

The wonderful staff helped us book our trips while we were there and arranged our pick up to the airport when we left, they really did go the extra mile to make sure you enjoyed your stay. Loved this place and would definitely return.

We stayed for a week in these apartments and it was one of the best holidays I've ever had. Perfect location overlooking the main street (but not too close).

The apartments are huge, clean and modern with a great view over the bay. The pools are very nice, the restaurant/bar is good. I cannot really fault this place - except that like one other reviewer I agree that cleaning would have been nice. Also the internet didn't work all of the time, which was annoying as we really needed it. And the air-con in the gym wasn't great!! But very minor things.

I would recommend staying in Airlie rather than on the islands as you can easily get to the islands from Airlie for a day trip (or overnight trip) and I think it is much livelier than the islands. Highly rec a snorkeling trip. Would also recommend the Endota spa up the road from this hotel.

Me and my 5 friends arrived from all parts of the world to see the Great Barrier Reef. Based on recommendations from Trip Advisor, we decided to not stay on the islands, but to set up a base in Airlie Beach. I'm really glad we did this, as there was a Cyclone during our stay. Outside of that, the resort was GORGEOUS and the rooms were fantastic. It was in walking distance of the town and grocery store and close to all harbours for boat trips. The staff arranged our transfers from the airport which was very helpful. Overall very happy with our stay and would definitely go back!

Quite a shock when we opened door to apartment and saw how very very large and roomy it was. Really lovely! We only stayed 2 nights due to persistant rain!! Airlie Beach I am sure would be beautiful at any other time of year than the Oz summer!

Found the sharp hill difficult and steep (not long, just harsh). Cannot recall reading anything about a hill and wife has walking difficulties. However....

Would very much recommend this hotel, view, amenities first class.

Had a hiccup with the fire alarms going off - all hours (rather scary, due to bush fires in the current news). Tried to follow man made instructions and find people not taking it seriously. We and several others, waiting outside reception, directions ???? until someone eventually arrived by car to knock off the alarms. No reception staff after dark. Would dread to think what would happen if a real fire was going on. Humidity not really a good enough excuse for triggering off alarms in the middle of the night.
