The manager was really helpful with service, although the cleaning staff need to be reviewed. When we arrived, the previous client's shirt was still hanging in the robe, and the floors looked as though they hadn't been vacuumed. One lamp was missing a globe, and on the second day we were not given replacement towels

Absolutely dreadful experience. Tiny room in need of an upgrade. Far too small to fit a double bed and a king single. Mouldy shower. Bath towels very small, extremely thin and disintegrating. Walls of rooms are thin so you here people talking in the next room. Drunken partying on the balcony walkway outside our room that continued til nearly 5am including people kicking our door, shouting swearing and fighting. On checking out next morning after 1 hours sleep, the receptionist complained to me about how tired she was because of the noise and that she had been too scared to speak to them as she was on her own! She should have called the police

Just wanted to express how the management and staff at the Motor Lodge were so friendly and welcoming..having just stayed there for 2 nights with my husband and friends, we were comfortable with the accommodation and the meals in the Restaurant were of excellent value and beautifully cooked. No hesitation in recommending this Motor Lodge in this so interesting town. Thank you Rhonda and staff.

I have reason to travel to Queenstown semi regularly for work and while the weather there can sometimes be inhospitable to someone with northern blood, the management and staff at the Motor Lodge never are.
You are always made to feel very welcome and accepted into the little community with no request for help ever refused no matter how trivial.
For a great place to base yourself at reasonable rates you can't go past it while the local Tasmanian produce that features on the menu is an attraction all of it's own.

for the price the room was very clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly and helpful when the wind locked me out of my room on a very cold night.
Queenstown is a very different place but when i have to go back again i would stay at this motel again.

I know that a lot of motels in Australia look like that one, but....

Room in pink&fuchsia that needs to be renovated, with an old and not comfortable bad... It looks like a place from an old criminal movie, or some detective story....

So... we decided to buy a lot of wine and managed to survive :) The landscape around is really great!

Room Tip: Stay in your car...

Queenstown is so different , it was like going to another world, the left over from the old mining days , the staff at our motel were very friendly , and could not do enough for us , we had a flat tyre and spare and they went to a lot of trouble to help us get back on the road , Our room was clean as a wistle , so was the bathroom , We had dinner in the restaurant which was beautifully done , If you are going to Queenstown we recomend this motel as we did look at the others and this was the best by far

Room Tip: Do the underground mine tour
