Stayed here for a weekend.

First room we got put in smelt really bad (sort of like BO and some sort of musty cupboard smell), but we got moved as soon as we asked.

We ended up getting a bigger room which was better - no smell at all!
The place is very much like a hostel, and very basic. But it did the job. Sheets, etc were clean.

We stayed for just one night but had an enjoyable stay & was very pleased with everything in general. Both people we seen were really wonderful, caring, happy, polite people. The room was spotless & very comfortable, everything we needed to make our stay a good one.Nice quiet spot... beds were very comfortable & had a great sleep after a long trip & affordable. The only thing wrong was that we didn't stay longer but maybe next time & we would recommend it to anyone.Thank *U* to the staff for making us feel at home & welcome...Hopefully we'll see you next time for a much longer stay.

The place was very dusty and myself and my girlfriend felt very sick in the room and sleeping was hard. Blocked nose and constantly running. As soon as we left the room we cleared up to normal. Service was good, always someone at the desk. Flat screen tv that had clear channels, aircon worked well. Fridge with tea, coffee, milk pods, sugars, sweeteners and a jug to boil water. Bath room with toilet and shower, ok water pressure. Two bars of soap and two rolls of cheap toilet paper. I recommend bringing all of your own toiletries. The room was small and dated, the walls were quite thin as well (noise got through). Shops were a lengthy walk away, about 2km I think. They have pizza delivery if you can't drive to the shops or don't want to walk that far. Little car park off the street not under cover. Overall not bad for a stop over if you don't get allergic to things easily. I think the price was put up over the long weekend, otherwise it would have been quite cheep and probably worth the money.

Stayed with my family for 2x nights. Rooms were clean, neat & tidy. Large flat screen tv on wall. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Shower wasn't the best. We chose this motel due to it being close to a sporting venue we were at for the weekend. I probably won't stay here again.

First thing, the place was spotlessly clean and very quiet. New tv and aircon. But it was a bit like being in the twilight zone....carpark was full but no people EVER (except for the manager if you buzzed the bell). And there was no iron incase you needed to quickly press something. Value for money ok but don't expect to sleep as the beds were well past their used by date, (and the towels appear to be from the mid 80's judging by how worn they are). If you want a face washer per person you will need to ask. Although it is a renowned wine region, bring your own wine glass (or the local pub might help you out by giving you one if you ask nicely). If you are travelling a long distance, hurry up or they won't let you in after 9.30pm (what they told us on the ph on our way up). But it is a spotless lower budget motel and once you are checked in they are quite helpful.

I am staying here right now as I write this.

I have to say its quiet, clean and comfortable, and the owners are very friendly and helpful.

It is very affordable and very convenient to the Hunter Valley. Probably the most affordable place to stay in the area. It is basic but it is a hotel/motel not a resort. There is no restaurant or fitness centre, but the rooms have nice air con and LCD TVs. The bed was new but a little on the firm side.

I am happy to recommend this to anyone not looking for a resort in the Hunter Valley region, but an affordable and comfortable place to stay.

This motel is quiet and clean, we stayed two nights over a weekend and as we were out and about during the days a bed in a room with a bathroom was all we needed. The fittings in the rooms are very dated, but they are clean. I think there may have been a change of owners since some of these reviews were written, the courtyard restaurant was not operating and there was no food available to be purchased at the motel or within walking distance.
The free wifi consists of 200MB a day, if you can convince the owner to give you an access code, but the signal is so patchy it's not really worth it.
The front garden is beautiful and well looked after.
