“Not impressed”
Reviewed 9 March 2014

We just came back yesterday and were very disappointed with our two night stay. I am a Big4 Member and we have visited many Big4 Holiday Parks over the years and I have to say we have always enjoyed our stay immensely. We paid $220 per night with a minimum of two nights stay and our cabin certainly was not value for money for $440. It was an old run down cabin, that shook when you walked around it. When we arrived there were mosquitoes everywhere inside our locked cabin and no fly spray. You had an old outside toilet and shower that was separately build to the cabin and that was also filled with mozzies and they only had 1/2 roll of toilet paper. The bed was uncomfortable and even though these were all little things they quickly added up to us feeling pretty average about our stay. On the positive side the Tourist park was a great location to catch the privately run shuttle bus to the John Farnham concert we went to and dropped us back at the door. In general the tourist park looked clean and neat, it was a quiet location and the pool looked really nice. I def would not recommended the cabins that we stayed in.

Great affordable accom in the area. Really well organised with great staff- they know how to move a large amount of people in and out in a short time. Can fill quick concert time- book soon as you can

Stayed her for 2 nights while visiting for the Springsteen concert. Great location from that point of view as the shuttle buses stop at reception and leaves every half hour to the concert from mid afternoon. On way home also delivered you back to reception. Got home from the concert within 30 mins of Bruce playing his final note. Thats pretty good. It costs $20 pp return trip , well worth it.
We had a powered site up the back, very nice size, plenty of room for car & Van, water/ sullage & power hidden nicely behind a row of grape vines to give privacy from the neighbours..nice idea.
Amenities close to that section were a little strange given there was a block of en suites probably about 8 in a row, that had, shower, toilet combined. The thing is ,the walls did not go all the way to the ground, about a 15 com gap at the bottom, so you could hear everything going on in the next en-suite, a trifle off putting and a little weird.
The owners have clearly spent a lot on putting in a new pool complex and flash villas all around it, but, time to make sure the basics are done well.
If you stay here, take your ipod to the showers to drown out everyone else's bathroom symphonies.

Room Tip: Up the back away from the main road.

Three days away with the grandchildren in our motorhome. The park was OK. We had a big site along the back area, with amenities not far away. These amenities were different, with all you need in the one self contained space - toilet, basin & shower, so it was easy to take the kids in together. However, there was no soap dispenser and the floors were very dirty, very quickly due to the outside surroundings. Loved the two big pools, they were well used for our stay. We had great troubles with caterpillars off the nearby vines, they were everywhere. Our son brought his brand new tent up to try for one night, and when he opened it a couple of days later, to use it in another place, he found it had several holes in the fabric from these caterpillars. Perhaps they can be controlled or even better eradicated.

We stayed one night but we've booked for two since we're not allowed to book for a single night in advance. We've booked a camper site three month in advance and got a terrible tent site when we arrived, no water and next to a large, crowdy group. Instead of giving us a nice and desent place that pay over three month in advance, we we're dropped on a site that was not even a real site. We moved to another spot (after visiting the reception four times) since we insisted for a powered site with at least a connection to water. It was an expensive stay, dirty amenities (not worth the money) and too many people on the campground. Sorry, they have to do better than this to give people a nice stay, that's worth this money.

We stayed 2 nights in Dec 13 while travelling north. The powered ensuite site was good, apart from the large jump up onto concrete slabs (10cm). Ensuite older, but very clean and functional. We stayed a further night on our way back south in January 14 on "drive-through" powered site. You still have to unhitch the car as site is not long enough (25 foot van fits easily), but you don't have to back in. Used main facilities which are very good. Blue Thai restaurant very good and convenient. Close to town, but too far to walk with shopping. Proximity to wineries very good.

We stayed at this Park from the 30 December 2013 through to 2nd January 2014. Park has made a lot of upgrades and looks great. Ease of access to all Vine yards and Wine tour buses will collect from the entrance of the Park. Thai Restaurant on Site and great pools plus spa and good facilities.
