Went for dinner with my friends in Sydney. We had various kind of dishes for sharing. The pork mince with rice was so yummy. We could not stop chatting even nearly the shop closure but the owner kindly gave us the complimentary red bean sweets that she bought from other shop in the street. Reasonable price, casual foods, totally recommended.

I ventured outside the square to try the tripe as I enjoy tripe at dim sum. I was surprised to receive a cold dish but it was delicious and certainly a delight at just over $4.

My visit was to try the Beef tendon noodle soup, a Taiwanese staple, which i had eaten elsewhere many times before. I wasn't disappointed. The beef melted in my mouth & the noodles & accompaniments were great.

A fantastic meal & definitely worth stopping in.

We arrived in the evening of Anzac Day. Bubbly waitress showed us to our seats and brought the menu. First impression, selection was limited. I tried to order the pork intestine noodles but was told they don't have in stick. To be fair, it did say on the menu it was limited. So we ended up with the tofu and spicy noodle and the basil crispy chicken set meal. The noodle was rather normal, not bad but not spectacular either. The latter on the other hand was fabulous! The taste of the basil really came thru, the chicken crispy to perfection. They weren't stingy with the pork gravy on the rice either! 100% repeat order in future.

On a whim I ordered the house special pork bun. Taste piece of fluffy steam bun with a thick layer of fatty pork. Yumm! My only gripe, the price didn't match the size. I don't mind paying more but it felt kind of small. This is what drives me to give a 3 of 5 for value but to be fair, the mains are pretty affordable. We'll definitely be back to try the other dishes.

If you are gunning for something more adventurous, there is always the radish soup. But a must try here besides the plummy dumplings, in my personal opinion, is the pork mince with rice. Served in a miniature bowl with a flirty dollop of Chinese preserved vegetables springs up the right board to get the appetite going. It's still light enough for you to tuck into other yummiest, tapas style such as the pork knuckles or another hearty bowl of comforting beef and tendon noodles.

Pass the shaven ice dessert. Nothing much but do save a spot for the winter melon tea. Served cold on a hot day, good for the soul I reckon.
