Have been here a few times now with the family and always have a terrific stay. Friendly manager and staff are always welcoming. The rooms are fine and breakfast is always great. The lounge areas though are what makes the lodge outstanding. The cosy open fire in the downstairs lounge and large windows and pool table in the upstairs lounge, make staying here a pleasure.

Warm and comfortable room, terrific common areas and a very homely feel to the place.
The staff were very friendly and breakfast was great, hot water was abundant and the drying room worked well. Nothing at all to complain about, we had a great stay and will definitely be coming back.

I recently stayed at Hannas Hutte as part of a large group heading up to the Snowy Mountains for a ski weekend. Missing light bulbs and peeling paint abound, Hanna's is definitely budget accommodation. Bunk beds, built from plywood were cramped at best and the ensuite was barely big enough to turn around in.

All said, we didn't stay here for the accommodation. We stayed here for because the group was looking to do a ski weekend on a budget. If you come in with budget level expectations, you won't be disappointed. But you probably won't be impressed either. The included breakfast is very minimal and you should expect to become familiar with the hygiene habits of those staying in other rooms through what I would consider more on par with a hostel than a B&B.

You'll stay warm, and you'll have a bed and a bathroom, but don't expect a whole lot more. Pricing is on par with budget level accommodation, perhaps slightly on the high side.

Hanna's Hutte is a great place if you want to be in Jindabyne but not on the main strip. Basic rooms, but all we needed for the weekend. We stayed in summer so it was just a continental brekkie (cereal & toast), but that suited us. There are a couple of lounges to relax in & a pool table to enjoy. Our room was just a double bed with en suite (excellent shower!) plus a little kitchen sink, microwave & bar fridge. It was quiet & Mark, the owner, is friendly & happy to give advice on local attractions.

It could do with a but of an update but if you are after somewhere just to rest up & night & don't worry about having all the mod-cons, this place will suit you.

We stayed in a room with a double bed against the window & a bunk bed, and one of those tiny shower-width ensuites with a really narrow sink which is hard to use. We paid $110 for the Friday night and $90 on the weeknights.

The shower was fine, the room was adequate, but I wouldn't say really clean, and the particularly annoying thing was that the window doesn't open, so you have to put up with whatever they've set the heating at. On the nights that there were more people staying, they put the heating on, but on the night where it seemed to be just us and one other room being used (and they may have been friends/relatives of the manager or owner), they left the heating off and there was a bar heater in the room.
The 'drying room' was just a room with a bar heater.

The breakfast was basic tip top white or wholemeal bread (only white on the day just 2 rooms were being used, which I thought was pretty poor! I don't eat white bread), cornflakes, wheat bix and sultana bran I think, orange juice and the offer of bacon and eggs.
We weren't happy with the state of the kitchen, and had seen the bacon sitting out in a plastic container for who knows how long (noone was in the kitchen and the lights off), so didn't take up that offer after we'd seen that. The fridge which we had been able to put a few things in when there'd been other people staying, was turned off.

I've stayed in cheap places before, and wasn't expecting too much, but found just those few little things that annoyed me which mean I would definitely try somewhere else next time.

I needed one nights accommodation in Jindabyne for myself and 2 children. I was arriving very late and leaving very early. Unlike most places Hannas Hutte was very happy to accommodate just the one night.
The room was basic and clean. Beds were comfy, the water pressure from the shower head was perfect, and the room was a good temperature, so after a long drive sleep was deep and comfortable. The breakfast of eggs and bacon was enough to fuel us for the day ahead. If aesthetics are important to you - slick bathrooms, coordinated paint and upholstery with mod cons then this is not the place for you. But if you don't mind a place that could do with a lick of paint inside and out, but provides all the basic necessities, close to town at a reasonable rate then give Hannas Hutte a try. There were no complaints from my very well travelled teenage children.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 9....2 bunk beds, the bottom of one extended to a double, so 5 could sleep in the...

We paid four star prices for a no star room. There where rodent droppings around the room, the furniture was stuck to the wall with age old spiders web. The room was tiny and cold. The only form of heating was an oil heater.

It's time that ski accomdation like this cleaned up its act and stopped ripping off customers with flithy rooms and 20 year old beds.

Save your money and look elsewhere.

Thanks for your feedback , I wish it had been in person as I am having difficulty recognising any of our rooms from your description. It is true that not all of our furniture is new, however the great majority of our guests find the rooms clean, warm and comfortable. We are upgrading our rooms progressively and are committed to remaining one of the best value for money lodges in Jindabyne. The lounge areas, open fire, pool table and free Wi-Fi are favourites with guests; as is the breakfast. We in no way promote the lodge as a 4 star resort and far from charging 4 star rates, our rates are similar to the local backpackers; and we include a full cooked breakfast .
