Excellently situated for the three sisters lookout and scenic world, plus close to the main town. Ideal base for anybody wanting to explore the blue mountains. The newly refurbished rooms are an excellent size, and are very comfortable and warm with everything you need for your stay. Found the staff to be friendly and very helpful. Would definately stay here again!

Really nice little Motel, we had a room on the ground floor, which was a very good size, very comfy bed and sitting area, the room and bathroom were very clean, couldn't ask for more really, perfect for our stop over. We saw both the owners and they were really friendly and very helpfull, even providing us with a map and marking on it the areas we should visit and were the best places for dinner would be. All in all a great stay.

For two years running we have stayed here while attending the Blue Mountains Music Festival in March. It is a great location as it is only 10 minutes walk from the festival location (around Katoomba RSL club) and 5 minutes in the other direction to the fabulous views and walks around Echo Point. Our rooms were quiet and comfortable, beautifully refurbished, stylish and clean with great bathrooms and free wifi. There is no restaurant, but you can have breakfast in the room, or walk to one of the many great cafes in Katoomba.

During a recent tour of NSW we stopped off at the 3 explorers for a couple of nights and I'm proud to say that it was one of the best motels we stayed in.

The rooms are fresh, clean and modern with good beds and good facilities. Our room was spacious and light and overall very good for the price.

Both of us enjoyed a quiet nights sleep both nights.

Our hosts were friendly and helpful - couldnt fault them at all.

Location wise, this is just a few hundred yards from Echo Point viewpoint and about 1KM from the centre of town.

Nothing bad here, would recommend 100%.

The rooms are recently refurbished. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was very quiet. No road noise and no noise from air conditioning. The couple who own it are very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of parking. 5 minute walk to Echo Point and 3 Sisters and 20 minutes walk to the main shopping street in Katoomba. Not the poshest place in the Blue Mountains but very good value. We've already booked future stays.

I stayed in Katoomba overnight after driving through from Sydney. The spacious (& clearly recently renovated) room had a comfortable QS bed with electric blanket and crisp linen. A reverse cycle air-conditioner provided much needed warmth. There was a table & chairs, wall mounted flat screen TV with a little ledge beneath, two-seat sofa and bed side tables. There were plenty of power points available. To the end of the room, was a large mirrored wardrobe with hidden tea/coffee making facilities and additional blanket/pillows. The bathroom was small and pokey – disappointing given the rest of the room. I can’t remember what the water pressure/temperature or bath towels were like. I had full Next G internet & mobile phone reception. A short 2-minute drive into town will grant you access to restaurants, bars, shopping centres and ATMs. However, I could not find a fuel station!!

Room service is offered from a select menu, but I would recommend the walk (if too cold, short drive) to the local RSL. Aside from TVs, the pokies & cheap bar food and drinks, there is a great Chinese restaurant. There are plenty of attractions close by (see the motel’s website for more), but due to time restraints I only had time to do the Three Sisters bushwalk which I highly recommend – pack a heap of water, sturdy shoes & your camera.
