A great restaurant and awesome food, fantastic in summer when the beer garden is a great spot to drink and eat an afternoon away. Prices are not backpacker cheap but the meals are worth it!!

Liked everything about this place and I usually find something to gripe about. Had three courses and each was first class.

Had a lovely dinner, awesome food and drinks, plenty of room between tables so did not feel squashed in. Waiting staff are friendly and helpful. Only drawback was not being able to split a bill and having to pay in cash only, needed to go to the ATM across the road, bit inconvenient.

Loved the beef and beer pies and dessert was yum too. Staff were helpful. Restaurant associated with the Carrington Hotel next door.

Upstairs brasserie was packed on a wet Thursday night so we sat downstairs in a strangely quiet bar to eat from a more restricted (why?)menu .The lack of bodies made the atmosphere downstairs a little sterile -we could only look upstairs wistfully at the rocking scene there. We had their 'Famous' Beef & Guinness Pie- a good if not particularly special example of the British classic.Decent beer (ie not just the usual fizzy stuff).
Brasserie menu looked interesting, and it was certainly popular!
