“Attention to detail and lovely location”
Reviewed 2 January 2013 via mobile

After walking around the Three Sisters park in Kotooma we decided to look for somewhere to eat. Tucked away in the Lilianfels complex was this restaurant. We were seated promptly and offered a choice of locations. The food was good and beautifully presented. Best of all, the service was superb. Well worth the experience.

“Nice for afternoon tea”
Reviewed 25 November 2012

We had late lunch there, menu offers a wide variety of dishes, afternoon tea also available. The food was good (I tried their salmon nicotine salads, delicious), service was very friendly and helpful and gave a lot of useful suggestions. The atmosphere is very relaxing. A bit pricey however.

“Lovely location, little overpriced”
Reviewed 21 November 2012

With it's stunning location I had heard many good things about Lilianfels, so it was with great excitement that I booked a high tea in the lounge.
Upon arriving we were greeted with pleasant staff and a seemingly cosy lounge area where we were able to relax and wait for our tea and coffee.
Whilst comfortable enough we found the decorating a little weird, with teddy bears precariously placed around the room. The not so wonderful piano player only added to the chintz factor....
High tea was ok, but I'm not sure if it really worth what we paid especially when all we could smell was the body odour of one of the waiters.
Overall, everything was ok, but I wouldn't rush back!

“Just missed it”
Reviewed 20 November 2012

Love the idea of it - a beautiful old room, comfortable relaxing with views over the canyon but it doesn't quite make it.
We enjoyed our overall stay at Lilianfels - lovely room upstairs with a great view, enjoyed my swims in the pool but when it came to the lounge, I was disappointed.
Yes, the room has charm and history but it could be anywhere - you can't see the canyon from this level.
The high tea is expensive but probably the biggest turnoff is the cost of a glass of wine - between $16 and $20 for what could only be called average and mediocre wines.

“Lovely setting with simple and well priced dishes.”

Lovely plush lounges with a delightful piano player. Good simple food that was remarkably inexpensive for such a quality location. Staff attentive and pleasant. Recommended.
