“Great staff, very friendly!”
Reviewed 1 May 2013 via mobile

The staff are really helpful and friendly, my hubby and I felt welcome when we arrived. Great view from the roof! Value for money, clean, easy to see from the highway. Recommend the steakhouse next door! I'd stay here again if in the area!!

Clean room with a comfortable bed and good amenities i. e. fridge and free wifi, though the air con/heating didn't work in my room. The location suffers from being on the 'wrong side' of the Great Western Highway, therefore walking into Katoomba isn't really an easy option. Otherwise, no complaints.

Room Tip: The breakfasts are expensive for what is a standard, limited choice, so drive 5 mins along the road...

My fiancee and I stayed here after a big day of exploring the local attractions. It was a quick stop before an early rise the next day so we werent in the room for long! I pre-booked via an accommodation website and got a great deal including breakfast which made it worthwhile to stay here.

Dont expect anything flashy. The decor is old but the rooms are a great size (big enough for a king bed, couch and dining table for 2). Great sized new flatscreen TV. Cant fault the room for cleanliness. It was sparkling from top to bottom.

The owners/hosts were lovely! Very friendly and welcoming. They even booked us the courtesy bus to go to the local RSL for dinner which was great.

This hotel is right on the highway so there can be night traffic but we never heard anything. Its also not in town so if you want anything you need to drive 5-10 to get to town. The do have a restaurant on site though.

If you need somewhere to rest your head Id happily recommend this place. We enjoyed our stay!

Arrived in the rain, and left in the rain! So didn't get to see anything at its best. Basic motel rooms, but all you need. Spacious as well. No issues with the road close by, but I sleep like the proverbial log. Our friends room had a slight musty smell .. ? not used regularly, but it didn't bother them. Free wifi, and helpful staff, thank you.

It's a classic old Best Western motel. A bit old and tired, but great value, great location, and the management (Denise) goes as step beyond expectation. Take her advice, she knows the area. We covered all the great views, missed all the other tourists. And a surprisingly good steakhouse next door, reviewed separately.

Its on the highway half way between Leura and Katoomba. I had reservations at first with the thought off semi- trailers trundling through the night disturbing my sleep surprisingly I never heard a thing, if you really listen you can hear them as a faint background murmur. The rooms are a fair size, very clean with a comfortable two piece lounge suite. The bathroom whilst not huge is quite adequate with good hot water and a functional vanity unit..If a few steps to the upper level are an issue request a ground floor room..The rooms have very good lighting and huge windows which let in an enormous amount of light.
Bed quality is very good and the pillows suited me, heaps of coat hangers unlike most places that have just 3 or 4. Stacks of car parking and a BP service station just a short walk for those convenience items you might need. Also has a laundry if your travelling and need to wash a few things.
The lady managing the place is so nice and offered heaps of info on my first night.
I have stayed here now on three occasions for a few nights at a time and will go back again.
There is also a steakhouse (offers much more than steaks) on the grounds which offers quality meals.
at a reasonable price.
A good place to stay if you want a few days in the mountains.

What a treat to be able to stay in this really old hotel. I love visiting Katoomba each time we return for vacation in Australia. It was quite a treat to stay in this lovely old hotel. Lovely hotel in the perfect central location to all that we had planned to see on this trip.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms away from the main street, it can be noisy when the truck go by. All in all it was...
