“Cosy and quiet place with modern amenities”
Reviewed 23 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

When we walked into the accommodation, my partner and I were really happy to see how cosy the whole place was. The fireplace gave the whole room a nice inviting feel. All the items we needed for our stay were available. We both enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Most of the time when I go to choose a holiday rental, it is necessary to compromise. It is hard to find the right type of property, with the right fittings, in the right area, with the right shops. And then of course there is the right price.

With ATELIER, there really is no need to compromise. It has everything and, and I say this to my detriment because we will be going back for sure, the property is let at a very competitive price - and we did a lot of research.

The building itself is apparently a former artist studio and has the expected amount of light. There are huge windows which face towards the Jamison Valley. (Light sleepers should note that, given their shape, it would be impossible to make curtains to work so you will need to bring an eyemask to sleep beyond dawn.)

The standard of installation screams "perfectionist". The bathroom in particular is quite something.

The kitchen is very compact however, despite the fact that ATELIER was only originally intended as a long weekend let, we coped for a month no problem.

There is a sizeable terraced garden devoted to the property in which you can find anything from full sun to full shade at just about any time of the day if you are prepared to move.

Although very quiet, ATELIER is a few hundred metres from shops, station, buses, restaurants. It is a couple of km from the tourist trap of Echo Point, thankfully.

The owner, Michael, is indeed a perfectionist and determined that you have a good time. We suggested that it would be handy to have a casserole, one turned up a few minutes later. Other than the fact that ATELIER must always be rendered in capital letters, he is most obsessive about ensuring his guests' privacy.

“Great location, very friendly & helpful owner, relaxing and comfortable place to stay!”
Reviewed 5 December 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We enjoyed our stay very much. It's a great location to be in as the Blue Mountains are within easy reach. There is a great restaurant just 5 mins walk away called Avalon, which we would definitely recommend! The owner of Atelier was very helpful with any information needed to get around. The large jacuzzi bath is SO good to relax in after a long walk through the Blue mountains. Perfect!

We would definitely recommend.
