We only stayed for 1 night in the heritage room
It suited us compared to getting a budget hotel
Not sure I would stay there for too long as the room was small

It has lovely views the resort

The wi fi was annoying as you needed to keep getting a code
Which only lasted you 4 hours

Dear dancingabi
Thank you for your review.
Our lovely Heritage Rooms, are definitely a better choice than a budget motel, and whilst they do not enjoy the views from the front of the building, the lounges, cocktail bar and restaurant certainly do make up for that.
Our free wifi does log you out after 15 minutes of non use, but the remainder of the time is preserved, and should you ever need more than four hours usage, we will happily provide an additional log in.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and we hope you will return again when next you visit the beautiful Blue Mountains.

It was a beautiful fresh & cold weekend in the mountains and we were looking forward to being healthy and going for a hike on the sunday. Unfortunately the heating ran so high in the hotel room I woke feeling quite ill. We turned the room heating off before we went to dinner and opened the windows but the general heating must have been extremely high.

Other than that the hotel is very "Blue Mountains chic" with cozy areas to relax in front of the fire and take in the views.

The wine by the glass selection was not fabulous - I didn't check the bottle selection, beer selection was great.

Room Tip: Ensure you have a room with windows that open to assist in dissipating the heat

Dear Trav_elle_Sydney
Thank you for your comments, we are very pleased you enjoyed our Blue Mountains chic retreat.
The fires and cosy lounges are indeed just the trick for a wintery Blue Mountains escape.
Our room heaters are temperature adjustable, and we recommend to leave them on around 22 degrees which keeps the room warm, but not too hot, overnight. Yes, fortunately, we do have windows that open for the lovely fresh mountain air.
We are pleased you enjoyed your overall stay with us, and hope you will return again in the future.

I had a 6 hour spa treatment at Sublime. It was amazing! Standard of many international spas. 5/5!
Food was very ordinay. Un remakable.

Room Tip: I always need a balcony room as Im a smoker. But get a fire place room. Balcony very average, but...

Dear Family Travler_8
Thank you for your wonderful review. It is indeed pleasing you enjoyed the peace and charm of our 106 year old mountain mansion, and your spa fireplace room with balcony.
Our on-site day spa is indeed amazing and very popular, and well worth the indulgence.
I am sorry our food did not meet your expectations, and I hope this did not reduce the level of satisfaction for your stay.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.

This hotel in Katoomba was an excellent place to stay. I went for a weekend only but totally enjoyed the old world charm from the decor and furnishings to the friendly staff. Being winter I found the room warm and cosy and quiet. Loved the wonderful view from the dining room and terrace. True mountain landscape. Great lounge rooms with open fires. Sit and read a book by the fire. The dinner in the dining room was very good. Highly recommend.

With a group of 13 we spent a very enjoyable 2 nights at The Mountain Heritage 11-12th July. Our room was ready on check-in and was very nice, clean and warm. We had a deluxe double, which was on the ground floor, so the view of the valley was limited, but it was cheaper than the rooms upstairs with the view. In any event, the room was a good size, very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also clean, and of a good size. The positive of being on the ground floor meant we didn't have to tote our bags up the steep stairs. Reception staff were courteous, and sorted without fuss the problem we had in relation to our room being taken by someone else!

The restaurant and sitting areas are very comfortable, with open fires in the sitting areas. Very pleasant. Breakfast was the standard hot & cold buffet, but well presented and plentiful. Scrambled eggs were the standard offering, but you can order eggs as you like them (poached etc.). The serving staff are excellent - very polite and attentive, without being obtrusive. The Yulefest dinner on Saturday night was exceptional - 4 courses, followed by port & mince pies in the library or sitting areas. Entertainment was provided by a four person singing group doing Christmas songs, as well as a visit from Santa Claus, which the kids present loved, and they were given gifts as well. Photos also came with the package - an excellent addition.

Overall an above average weekend. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Upper level South east corner rooms have a terrific view of the valley.

This was our 2nd visit to Mountain Heritage. When I rang to book I asked for the room that we had stayed in previously, I was told that the floor we had previously stayed on was booked out. As I had waited till the day before we travelled to book I completely understood but we were very pleasantly surprised on arrival to be given the room beside our previous room and chocolates and a welcome back note were waiting for us. The staff once again were very pleasant and everything was spotless. The close proximity to the main street is wonderful and the views are spectacular. I am sure we will return.
