We stayed for 3 nights and picked the location due to the proximity of the bush walks in the area, as well as the Three Sisters, which were a five minute walk away. The room was equipped with everything we needed, i.e. air conditioning, fridge, tea maker, king size bed, and breakfast every morning. Rooms were clean and the folks at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. The first night in town, it was raining, so they arranged to bus a few of us to the local RSL club, which boasted 2 restaurants, bar, casino, and takeaway liquor sales. It was a pleasant diversion for an evening that otherwise would have been spent in a room. As we did not have a car, we had to walk 1.5 km into town to have dinner each night, but digesting on the walk back, probably didn't hurt. We had taken the train from Sydney to Katoomba, and the cab ride from the Katoomba train station to the motel was $8 AUD. The bushwalks in and out of the canyon were spectacular. We would certainly stay there again, if we are in the area. Cheers to the staff.

I was travelling with my family and that was the first time we went to Australia. You may find other nice reviews from others. I will just add on one thing that the owner was very helpful during my stay. The weather was really bad the day when we arrived. The owner was approachable and shared all the alternative tourist information for bad weather. The staff was also friendly.

I was travelling with a visitor from Switzerland and I told them how good small, locally run motels in Australia can be and this motel proved me right. It was simple, perfectly clean and very safe and comfortable. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a blackout in the morning and they still managed to get breakfast up without electricity. Great effort. Also even though we had checked out in the morning, they graciously let is use the room again in the afternoon to get out of our wet bushwalking clothes. That's hospitality. Full marks.

Location is excellent, service and cleanliness are first class. Facilities are standard motel style, with a small and basic bathroom. Shower pressure was average only. Bedding was fine and overall impression was of a traditional, well cared for property. The proprietor was most attentive and helpful. Breakfast was basic - juice, cereal and white bread toast plus a small espresso machine. A good place for an overnight stay.

About 1.5kms from the city centre, this motel is clean, tidy and very friendly. Food is good and you can eat either inside or outside. The rooms are a bit spartan with no chairs, but otherwise are comfortable. Well worth staying at for one or two nights, but the lackof chairs may get to you after two nights.

Room Tip: Clean and friendly
