Spent three days in this immaculately presented period home. Within walking distance to katoomba yet really quiet and pretty street. perfect for a getaway from the city, it was a great place to lie around and drink wine, eat great food and unwind. large kitchen and dining spaces perfect for big dinners. great value for money. highly recommend it.

“Beautiful, quiet and conveniently located”

My wife and I, travelling from Adelaide, spent 3 very enjoyable nights in Burnie Brae. The house is well located in a quiet street within walking distance of Katoomba's main street. The house is just as beautiful inside and outside as the photographs suggest. The bathroom is modern with a very large double shower, and the kitchen also appeares to be newly renovated with all normal appliances and a huge gas stove. The house is full of lovely antique furnture and interesting vintage items. A great deal of effort must have gone into furnishing the house. I would definately return to Burnie Brae.

Liked best: it's beautiful, quiet and well located.
Liked least: the lounge chairs seemed a bit worn, and the ceiling light in bedroom didn't work, although the side table lamps did work.

Wonderful and perfectly equipped

Dreamlike house, lovingly decorated, stylish top-renovated and welcoming. Also in winter very recommendable, the powerful heating / air conditioning warms the house quickly. Large, excellently equipped kitchen (with familiar Miele dishwasher :-) Beautifully landscaped, very well-kept garden; pleasant, quiet location. Prima Tips from the landlord for hikes and walks. He also gave immediate answers to small questions. If you do not like to drive (in the left-hand drive) car, is also pleased about the convenient location: The walk from / to the train station is also with luggage on foot to cope, bus stops and good shopping about 5-10 minutes walk away. The journey from Sydney by train (opal card) and trips by public buses (opal card) were so easy.
