We visited the Jamison Views restaurant during our stay in the Blue Mountains during the 2012 Queen's Birthday weekend.

The restaurant was very cosily and beautifully furnished, and a pianist was providing soft background music which added to the ambience.

The table service was excellent, and the food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The wine list also offered a very nice selection, and we indulged.

The head waiter, as we discovered, is also a wine lover, and he recommended we visit Leura Cellars, which we did, and where we found a coveted bottle at a considerably lesser price than usual.

It was a nice evening in a very pleasant environment with good service. We'd be happy to go there again.

Our group of 6 firends made a 15th anniversary trip to the Blue Mountains. We were looking for somewhere special for our celebration dinner and chose Jamison Views, in the Mountain Heritage Resort. We asked for a table with views and were given one in a corner out of the way of other guests which was just perfect. Before the meal we enjoyed drinks from the bar which we took into the lounge area. Staff were attentive to the open fire, and encouraged us to move the lounges as we wished to take advantage of the cosy fire. What a great start to the evening. The menu was reasonably priced, our waiter answered all our menu questions easily and willingly. The meals were delivered without undue delays, and were to a high standard. Mine was a little cool, probably because 2 of our group ordered steaks and other meals were held, but I refrained returning it to be reheated. The service was just right, not too intrusive while we enjoyed jokes and conversations, but just enough. I would return to this restaurant any time I re-visited Katoomba or the Blue Mountains. One word of warning, the signage on the street for the Restaurant, and the small access street to the Heritage Retreat were not easy to find, especially in the early evening darkness.

Had not heard about this restaurant but was referred by the place we were staying locally. Missed out on breakfast (served til 11am) but managed to get in for lunch and so glad we did. Often the food is second to the view at places like this but we were so happy this wasn't the case. Really good simple meals executed perfectly, think gastro-pub and you're heading in the right direction. We had a few little starters then the club sanger and beer battered flat head - partnered beautifully with a regional white and we were set for a *very* lazy afternoon. Great spot, excellent value.

Had the slow cooked pork - tasty with rich sauce. Vegetables done to perfection. Chicken Kiev was full of flavour also. Bruschetta was average - did not taste the balsamic but they said it was there. Desserts were a sweet end to a great meal. Good service, though have to ask for water refills; waiter rushed off his feet.
