“$100 Didn't Go Far”
Reviewed 2 November 2013

Had lunch at Leura Garage on the same day this review is submitted. 2 adults, 2 children. Got to say we walked away thinking the garage was damn expensive for what you got. Before I get into the food though - the place looks fantastic.....credit to the work done, it is certainly an inviting venue in a good location with both indoor and outdoor dining options.
The adults went with steak sandwiches ($22 each) which were good enough in the eating, but let's face it there are plenty of places you can get equivalent and better for less money and more on the plate. Glass of wine was in the $12 range, again on the dearer side of average as far as we were concerned. Kids had what was essentially nuggets and chips / fish and chips. These were the real killer - $14 for what was no more than fries you would get at maccas for about two dollars and in the case of the chicken, as per the odd earlier review it bordered on burnt and was considered very chewy by our daughter ( a true expert in the consumption of chicken pieces). Got to try new eateries but to be honest I don't think we will rush back......Leura has some better options than the Garage I'm afraid......$100 was without doubt over the top for what we had.

“Delicious”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

I dined here on a warm Thursday night. The room was buzzing with large group tables of friends and families all enjoying the lively atmosphere and tasty food. I particularly relished the Port Lincoln mussels. Seriously delicious.

“Unexpected Pleasure!”
Reviewed 12 October 2013 via mobile

The Blue mountains has several restaurants that cater to the passing tourists. Most of these are overpriced and the food is average. But Leura Garage was the absolute opposite! Located away from the main drag, it's as much a haunt for locals as it is for passers by. The food is a mix of tapas style and modern Australian, with selections like lamb meatballs, Moroccan fish tagine and heirloom vegetables all making delicious share plates. The pick of the menu is the meat platter! The staff are really friendly and attentive, plus the wine list has a good and varied selection.
This is a great example of how good, simple food made by caring hands can be amazing!

“Meal with friends”

Interesting restaurant, set inside an old garage at Leura. Our group of 8 all enjoyed various meals at this venue, while we were staying in Leura for a few days.
